My support as always is as loyal as it isn't blind. Your a golfer and someone allegedly cheats do you treat him the same even though he carries on beating you by the odd stroke? If you read my posts I don't actually have any conclusions just theories because the questions remain unanswered and this time courtesy of Phil's drink fuelled haze. Oddly though he remember's a lot of detail of all the frothy stuff? Seems to me Phil has moved into some heavily biased PR, why?

Because they didn't appreciate it was a just a hook to get peoples interest in a thread they may have passed by and it worked. Unfortunately, the mods got a bit fed up by the ignorant few complaining about the title (as if there is a patent on the phrase) who never actually took the time to read the content. As explained by Ponty but you may have missed that Gemmel Misleading? Yet hooks and phrases, are used all the time but inconsistent standards apply. Has Le God treated us with respect? Not in my opinion so 'Le God' is up for grabs as if nothing else our gods should represent a strong moral code by which we should be able to mirror and live our lives by.

Oh, alright then since you ask so nicely and with such a convincing argument.

You do otherwise you wouldn't have taken me off ignore. Unfortunately, people do care and this is not the only forum or outlet for fans to discuss MLT's recent decision making, to put it mildly.

Crosses from the left vs crosses from the right? What is lallana's position or does he have a free role? If it's the latter we do not have a left midlfield and if he picked it up on the odd occassion he was there he would always cut in and more often than not run into a cul-de-sac or we ended up knocking it about in front of their back 4 before, guess what, working it to our right for a delivery. Even with James at RB we were far more effective down the right and that does not reflect well on Lallana IMO. He was ineffective and absent for a lot of the game and especially second half.

Ok I and 1000s of others will leave you and the other 10,000 JPT hardy followers to rattle around Wembley against the might of a 40,000 strong contingent from Leeds. Incidentally of which, probably less than 50% watched a preceeding tie. Nature of the beast and I am no more a hypocrite than those who will no doubt flood back and sell out the stadium if we get back in the Premiership. It's why we buy season tickets isn't it? Guarantee your seat, supports your club when they need the money most and gives rise to certain privileges. Hopefully Will, I'll end up sitting next to you. No need to wear a name tag as I'll recognise you by your trousers.

I missed your post asking for questions but I wasn't on much over the weekend and as you read this forum regulalry I'm fairly sure you could have framed some suitable questions yet protect your apparent toady approach. Bland statements seems to be MLT's speciality and I have no sympathy over the aftermath of the betting scam story and the impact on his family as he has been master of his own destiny in that regard. Are you suggesting we should have sympathy for him and his family for the story made up or otherwise and that he has to write another chapter for the paperback? Correction Graham Hiley has to write another chapter. I apologise if I thought MLT came across as a bit flippant or 'oh how we laughed' but that is the way it came across in your OP when MLT said ' well I have to write another chapter for the paperback' - did he say it with a wry smile or with that laid back in his chair jokiness as if he was having a joke with Jeff Stelling? MLT may well have done some charity gigs locally but living outside the area I don't get to hear about most and / or have the time to attend and some of my questions may not be wholly welcomed at a charity event in any case. If not Soccer Saturday which I agree on reflection would be the normal bland straight bat comments why not a local radio phone in where a wider audience could be accomodated and with advertising we may actually get wind of it because as self- important as you are Phil I don't read everything you write. I don't get to many away games as like everything else in life we have to balance our other responsibilities otherwise perhaps I could ask him and the next away game he attends. Any reason why Phil he is attending an away game soon and not home? Is it the ticket costs or something altogether more old fashioned like guilt, shame or simply worried his ego may take a dent after the reception he got at the Millwall game before all this broke? I agree if you don't ask you don't get and that is why I listen intently until what I have asked is answered satisfactorily and that no stone is left unturned. Remember, I didn't give cause to question the integrity of MLT and neither is it my fault your report came across as a juanty little jolly in the Middle East with a friendly and jokey compere. I wonder if the person who compared MLT's deeds to Agassi was happy with the answer? So was it a betting scam? I assume it was becasue of the police taking the case to the CPS and if so did MLT lie about the actual game in the book given it wasn't televised? Surely that question was asked - a fabrication to sell books or an actual event? Us mortals don't even know that and all we do know is the integrity of the man. So do I have to travel to Hartlepool a week on Tuesday or are you going to give us your alcohol fuelled version of events. You seem a bit exclusive as to what you will write and what you wont write perhaps you shouldn't have written anything at all if you exclude the darker stuff because of drink, yet include the froth.

Last year did you give the JPT any recognition? It is not arrogant to suggest we are above it (which I am not) it's just as a competition it holds no interest for about 40% of our regular match day attendees and I suspect that fugure is widely mirrored across the board. Therefore, if the trophy holds only a small majority of interest for those club's involved and barely 1% of interest in the wider football community in this country seriously what is the point. Is Murray arrogant not to take part in the Davis Cup to ensure he remains fit for more important games?

I would argue that you are not wrong and in fact you are 100% right. What is the best prize relative safety by January in the league or a 3rd round tie against a big Premiership club we have no prospect of winning and have no immediate need for the money. So ou choice appears to be another potential January game against Man U or a protracted relegation battle into the new year and with the increased risk of doing so without a Hammond or a Lambert. As for Norwich lets give them a bye its a worthless competition.

Why at an away game? Does he not like watching us at home anymore? Odd behaviour. Tbh Phil, MLT can be self-deprecating and have a 'oh how we laughed' attitude over the betting scam but I believe he severely lacked integrity in any event. Did he mention why he thought the police had a case they considered worthy taking it to the CPS? Also why talk about it openly to a select few where most of us could not afford to travel or have the time and not address the few thousand who actually went to the trouble of buying the book? It's not as though he doesn't have the platform of Soccer Saturday. A long post and having read it one that only sycophants need apply.

Might need 11 if we play like that again

I agree with Killer but you have to be a great player for your position and who could have played at a higher level or did so. Claus was not good enough playing wise IMO to be classed as a legend same as Benali. Well loved and loyal players but not legends. Anyway Claus's integrity went out of the window when he decided to drive a tank of a 'car' after a few wines, respect goes out of the window after that I'm afraid, especially in this day and age.

Integrity, first and foremost as a player, manager etc and as an ambassador thereafter. One word, and why Bates is without equal.
-
Have to say that was my take but a few players were worse than the rest. James is no right back and his set pieces and crosses from deep are generally awful. We need to buy a RB. No bad day at the office more like typiocal day. Trotman and Jaidi were all over the place and Thomas showed them up second half do perhaps supporting Trousers' theory. Our midfield were very complacent with their passing and both their goals first half came from absolute needless wastes of possession. I thought Lallana's performance today was inexcusable. He tucked in so far to the midfield we had no options on the left other than Harding and then Mills. All our decent crosses came from the right because whenever Lallana received it he always drifts in instead of taking it forward up the wing and getting a cross in. The good news is he didn't put himself in the shop window for any CCC manager watching the bad news is if he plays like that again we are back to the Lallana the enigma. Our service to Lambert and Connolly was dreadful not helped by the complacency in midfield and Adam Lallana's no show.

Hammond must be captain as he has experience in the role at Colchester, plays in a central role and apart from Jaidi (assuming you don't saddle your front players with the responsibility) there is no other option. Jaidi today looked like a player who needed a telling as oppose to one to lead from front.

Worships Rupert Lowe? Have a look in the Lounge at the Le God Delusion thread and tell MLG he needs to change the number of gods that have been worshipped since the dawn of time to 10,001. For more considered posters please read 'rabidly anti' as critical of recent actions. The percieved Lowe angle has actually nothing to do it with it especially in the way IMO, MLT has conducted himself recently. I don't suppose Le Tiss consulted Lowe on Pinnacle or his book but it may of helped had he done so.

About as many as your's Dune with a silent c. I post my opinion not +1 which is generally as pointless as your 3 post a day.

Can't beat a broad generalisation Wes. Search my posts and find one where I slag off the likes of Paine, Peach, Holmes, Channon or Bates just as an example.

Hypo I agree with you with regard to Mr Cortese but I am sure he'll agree that he doesn't get it right 100% of time as human perfection doesn't exist, well not quite anyway. If he opens the way back for LM then having rid this club from the shackles of its past he would reverse all the good work and sense of 'new era' many fans are enjoying. IMO I see no sense in bringing back a man who has been unsupportive of the club by his alleged refusal to attend games and a man capable of that level of shallow bitterness is not someone we should be welcoming back into the fold. In any event it is difficult to see what value he will add and whilst I appreciate the phrase about keeping your friends close and all that, in this instance I don't think Mr Cortese needs to keep this McMenemy closer still, IMO. Lawrie McMenemy has burnt his bridges IMO and why should he be allowed back on the basis of something he achieved a generation ago and has proven recently IMO that his heart is not in this club at all, unlike the rest of us paying fans. So, yes it would bother me if McMenemy was allowed back in, would I stop going? Of course not, I wouldn't be that bitter or churlish and leave those kind of antics to more respected men.

The Gekko is on order. BTW did you happen to hear Nick Mason on Danny Bakers R5L show this morning. He was identifying cars by the sounds of their engines - now I wouldn't mind his 250GT or 350GTB. Money no object those are the Ferrari's I would own but ever since I first saw the opening sequence of the original Italian Job my all time favourite supercar is the Muira preferably in the Alps with Matt Munro on the Eight Track! Ferrari's from the late 70's through to the late 90's are mainly horror shows fashioned unfortunately from 20 years of bad taste and excess. Of the modern day stuff I would have a Maserati Quattroporte GT in burgundy although they probably call it Barolo Red. It would be a joy to drive such an elegant, classy and a thing of exquisite beauty, still that's enough about the wife the car is bl00dy gorgeous.

Have I? I voiced caution over Oldknow's departure and someone called for lawrie to be given a position and I felt that was worthy of discussion. So I haven't ruined it or diverted it, just commented on previous posts and the feeling that Oldknow's departure for some has seemingly left the sluice gates open for IMO a few rats to get back on board ship. I don't think they are needed and we are doing more than fine without them Gemmel don't you agree?
