  1. Most people now generally agree just how good Gerrard is (unless they're a plank) and he has found a new lease of life playing as a DM. He is pretty much regarded as the best holding midfielder in Europe now. Jack though should IMO be there as his understudy. But then Ive always thought that ever since Rodwell retired at Man City. Wilshere, Henderson and Barkley are all arguably better players then Cork but he is more of a natural in that position then any of them. He really is a very good player.
  2. He is primarily the footballing director and has major influence in all of those areas. He was brought in to give advice towards building up the playing/playing support departments which include training, scouting, medical sides, preperation etc etc I believe since NC left he has taken over contract negotiations for both players and staff. Whilst transfers such as Osvaldo have not been majorly successful its hard to argue against the fact that his influence has been majorly beneficial from improving training techniques to academy coaching, match prep etc and generally putting the blocks in place in order to make the team ultimately successful on the pitch. I for one think its been a good appointment
  3. Not saying they are crap my pathetic little friend, Im saying they may very well cost Norwich settling or not
  4. Hooper, RVW and Elmander will cost Norwich their EPL status, if we go for any of them were nuts
  5. I think Benteke is a better player then Lukaku, just unfortunately has been stuck in a **** poor Villa side, hope we break the bank for him or Bony
  6. Are people seriously that deluded that they are suggesting not transfering to Utd ? That they are not the team they were 10 years ago ? They are still the biggest team in the EPL no matter what Liverpool think and are still the reigning champions (for another month) they bring in more money then any other team, and are the biggest team in the world. Its rediculous to think it wouldnt be a better move. No wonder Dune and GS have such a field day on here with crap like that
  7. Is it new to you ? Swapping a left back to right back really isnt that straighforward at this level, Clyne does it with a degree of success but realistically your reactions wont be as true as if you were on your natural side. His natural instincts will be right sided, from control, to passing and even worse tackling. So no, its really not that much of an easy transition at all, but that may be lost on anyone that believes this is FM
  8. Agreed with the Lambert bit totally, dont get me wrong he is aclass player but definately is peripheral at times and its highlighted more when we have nobody to get in behind. In regards to Sturridge, I agree its a big call but I just think the team would perform better without him IMO. Top class and Im his biggest fan but watching him at times he wastes too many chances. Perhaps thats highlighted to me due to playing with a greedy strike partner on a sat though !!
  9. Oh god, here comes Dune and GS
  10. My team would be a 4231 Hart Walker Cahill Jagielka Baines Henderson(wilshere) gerrard Sterling Rooney Lallana Welbeck As good as Sturridge is he just isnt a team player, I think that realistically Englands best hope will be that we work quite hard and for that matter Id play Welbeck instead of sturridge. And The9 you've not been alone in your analysis of Ramirez/lambert. Pretty much we play J Rod wide left but he effectively ends up as the furthest forward striker or, in essence, the striker that gets in behind with Lambert tucking in or pulling out wide.
  11. He has the attributes to be a top player and is regarded quite well in the game. Not that I think that he should be a target, he would be too much of a gamble and too expensive. Yes he has been hyped up by two good games, but he isnt that bad either.
  12. Yeah but in reality how many would be in that genuine sistuation ? I can see the points, but realistically the club need to take a fair stance and there are far more plastics trying to grab a game and unfortunately taking uo space that 'should' be for real fans then those that are in the genuine position you find yourself in.
  13. Vaguely ironic that the arguement is someone that only goes to 4 games shouldnt get priority over a plastic. Plus there are already perks as a STH, seat for the season, reduced entry for the season and priority in cup and away games. The clubs firmly correct in this one.
  14. We possibly have the potential for a couple of top 6 finishes should sufficient strengthening occur (and we keep most of our prized assets) but a lot of that 'potential' is on the back of our youth talents peaking at the right time. Realistically for our club size top eight finishes would be excellent if done consistantly. But I think that with the current squad, poch + a few additions we might just be able to stretch that little bit further. Itll be interesteting to see the boards intentions as I think without a signal of intent we will miss the opportunity to capitalise.
  15. Im assuming the sun has interfered with poor Dunes medication and he thinks he is suddenly the voice of reason again ?
  16. Theres no point in me trying to explain the game of football to you Dune as A. I expect your on a wind up and B. Im pretty sure you just wont understand. Basically you will always struggle with AL, RL and GR in a front three as none of which look to make a run in behind. All in all though of those three GR was the one that looked like he would make something happen.
  17. It is this, essentially if we have the ball then the other team needs to work hard or break rank to get it off us. Cardiff though were happy just to let us play with it. We tend to struggle with teams like that as we will keep probing and they will keep holding their lines. IMO in those situations we need to take a few more risks, hit some long shots or get wide and hit hard low crosses as opposed to floated ones.
  18. Pretty much this, the gloating is rediculous anyway, you have no chance in hell of staying up.
  19. He was ok but not premier league level, he was like flappy bird with anything that came near it in the box, barely managed to get to Mutch's effort. The zaha save was very good. Needs to go out on loan and get some confidence and we seriously need a keeper next year.
  20. Too slow, its all very pretty n all but its just not effective without pace out wide (and when the FBs cant cross effectively). They came to nick a win anyway but we made it easy by slowing the game down. Lamberts not mobile enough and Lallana wants too many touches. Ramirez looked good before his standard early exit. The lack of risk taking just lets then get men behind the ball and get compact. We just pass, probe and pass and probe. Movement was terrible too. We really miss Jay Rods direct running.
  21. This basically, operated much better between the line then both Lambert and Lallana. Quick and incisive. Cant disagree with his glass legs though, he needs games and he is always injured, I suppose today couldve been a reoccurance of his last injury.
  22. If that was Ramirez people would be frothing at the mouth
  23. Hard to argue about Lamberts mobility
  24. Thats four times gallagher has mistimed his jump And we are pumping balls into the box, IMO get it wide quickly and hit low crosses across the six yard box
