  1. Good luck to the lad, possibly not good enough for us but is a decent lad by all accounts and hopefully will find a home at Coventry
  2. This Im certainly not saying that we are definately top 10 contenders, we are not, in fact I wouldhave torn your arm off had you offered me 17th. But to say we were poor in the TW is nonsense. We are in the hangover of a v bad game, Clyne, Yoshi and Shaw are easilycapable IMO, especially when Cork and Morgan are fit and firing in front of them. My point is still calid that Alps spouts this crap every TW and is consistantly proven to be thefool hereally is. I stand by what I have said all along that he is the most accomplished troll on here
  3. I think the reason they get thrown in your face is that you repeat ad infinitum your point that eventually ends up being completely wrong and makes you look a little silly. What exactly do you have to do thats better ? Except obviously lurking around until we lose a game ?
  4. If you would like to point me in the direction of the comment where I said Fox is up to standard Id be more then greatful. And yes, the kettle is indeed black
  5. Imust admit Alps, you certainly know what your on about in this area, and some may question the impact of such a thread this early on however looking through history it is clear you have an unquestionable awareness of our exact needs and failings that have been fully justified over the years; 09/10 - Our transfer business was an utter shambles, we were so far off te mark that we managed to win the JPT and just miss out on promotion despite the -10 10/11 - well, we didnt learn from our mistakes did we ? Unfortunately a poor season had us only managing promotion to the NPC 11/12 - Just as terrible, despite the set up, the past two years failings we were woefully short again, this season was a train wreck, summed up entirely by a lack of action in the TW found us unfortunately just managing to miss out on winning the league and automatic promotion 12/13 - Another year of abject failure, many of us questioned why a professional outfit would ignore such astute advice from our mountain dwelling footballing veteran however advice again was ignored. An absolute terrible transfer policy saw us pick up such failures as Clyne, J Rod, Boruc & Davis who only conspired to unfortunately keep us in the prem .... I think your right Alps, history speaks volumes and your pedigree is there for all to see
  6. He should never have said as much in public, still goes back to keeping your stock high no matter what I suppose. Even as a fan I woukdnt have taken the job back then though, I used to know staff and people close to the board back then, it really wasnt good. Nice to see Nige changing his LB again today, puts a smile on my face
  7. Didnt he say in the press he gave everything in his career, ran through so many barriers etc ? Really Audley ? Do you actually believe that ? Top level sport is 70% mental strength, and he lacked it
  8. Yeah, he plays decent football, and to be honest he isnt IMO as bad a manager as we make out (though not as good as the media believe) but his constant, keeping his stock high media soundbites is starting to grate. Fwiw I am pretty ambivilant too him, I certainly dont hate him, nor do I love him. He made a mistake coming to Saints at the time, we were doomed, much like QPR FWIW I heard in a few coridoors that Harry regreted taking the QPR job after a week, such was the mess they were in.
  9. He hasnt exactly been worth the 100k a week and a boatload of Um Bongo though has he bless him
  10. He was crap ?
  11. I detest that man First it was Warnock, then it was Hughes, then Redknapp. If 'Arry leaves, who will be next to fill the club with overpaid dross. Being fair, Harry made a mistake, if you put your ear to the ground players were openly at war with each other over wages, some lazy on the training pitch etc That and a lack of form and then yet more dross. He didnt have a chance.
  12. Reading going through a spell ATM Both carp
  13. From what I have seen they are, by far have the better players, they just have not reallu gelled v well. Reading look like an NPC team in all but name, last chance saloon defending caused by the ball no sticking upfront and a midfield that cant compete. They are lucky that QPR are just as poor with the final ball. For me QPR look better but neither are much cop.
  14. Ask him is spiderman would ever consider playing for England
  15. Take it you mean Ramirez ? And whilst I agree with what you said it was definately a red card, he swing his elbow at him, may have been forearm
  16. We certainly have our share of trolls, you know it as do I, and yes we have positive ones and negative ones. For me a troll is someone of whom I dont necessarily believes what they say but will say it again and again and again in order to attempt to drag people into an arguement. As per what I said in my post you qouted, I dont think it is unfair to assume that one bad game doesnt make good players bad or a manager that seems to have worked out an effective way of playing clueless ? Did you actually read the post ?
  17. The money spent for me means you dont just give up at the first hurdle, give him a chance. I wonder how many of the Ramirez haters wanted Morgan gone ?! He obviously has quality. But yes he needs to step up next year and yes it was a def red
  18. Very much hope he is, and looking forward to a few people climbing of their horse TBH
  19. Suppose it depends who the troll is ?
  20. Wonder what his thoughts would be regarding Lamberts performances recently. It really is one of my pet hates debating with someone who refuses to see either side in an arguement
  21. Not sure Ramirez is the poor mans, I still have faith in the lad. Hopefully he will kick on next year. We have dumped 15m on him so we need to give him time. Perhaps get another technical winger around him to help him etc. Coutinho looks great though, and is finding his feet like I only hoped Gaston would this year.
  22. Well, this I do agree with. Whilst it is a little exciting and dizzying considering where we were two years ago Europe for me will be a step too far. Thought that we MAY have risen too quickly for the prem but we managed to get our act together just about in the end, though it cost us big. As for Europe, I sm secretly quite glad that we are not Europe bound. You only have to look at the damage to Newcastle who actually tried to compete and even a lesser extent Chelsea (though I doubt Rafa's ability as a league manager). Dont get me wrong I reckon we will dump atleast another 20m into the team next year. And maybe we can try to get into Europe through the league ? What I am saying is we need a few years to build a decent squad first.
  23. This really isnt the way it works in modern football, with the exception of perhaps Man U or Arsenal transfer policy is down to committee. It is done this way to ensure a situation such as QPR where 3 successive managers have been offered cash to spend and bought dross, dross that a new manager would never wish to use.
  24. Am I actually reading this properly ? We have been on a decent run of form, not lost in 7, beaten Liverpool, beaten City, generally been playing some very good football. Starting to see the best out of J Rod etc half the board were talking about Europe etc (over the top yes but shows how well we were playing) We had a bad day at the office yesterday, the players were already on holiday IMO. It was a lazy performance which WBA capitalised on and thoroughly took the game away from us. Lallana was poor, Lambert non existant and even a reliable cork went missing at times. Thus gave WBA more oppurtunity to get the ball to their front men. All pace and power, and basically overturned our defence. Perhaps with a better equiped midfield we could have reduced the service, without one it was hopeless. But to then come here and read such dross as Clyne, Yoshi, Lallana (poor season ok) arent fit to wear the shirt, that Poch has no clue and is riding on Adkins baby ?!?! Really ?!? I was never impressed with Nige this season, our play lacked passion, tactics and the right substitutions, the defence leaky and no e of it for me was sorted until Poch's arrival. What Inam saying is get some perspective and dont get dragged in by the trolls, it was a poor poor game but it happens. Even the best have off nights. And no it doesnt mean we are in trouble, not does it mean we need a brand new 11. What it does mean is that thr boys will now realise they still have to turn up, play with the intensity that they have been and push on. Im sure Poch isnt one to just brush over it in the training ground.
