Well, it was to be expected in my eyes, Notts County are in good form, the main 11 have been playing alot of football and there have been injuries and illnesses. What really did we expect ?? Look at the ground we have made up over the last few weeks though and we are in a great position. Its just a shame that the midweek game at Oldham had left us all expecting more when realistically county were always going to come looking to not lose. I am happy for a point right now, dissapointed that Brighton won but hey ho, Bompey lost so thats not so bad. I am sure we will spend if necessary, and there is always the loan market within which i think we could actually sign the better calibre players on a promotion gamble. No need to worry yet, we are much closer then we have ever been, BELIEVE.

Perhaps we are going for Bartley as a replacement for an aeging Rahdi Jaidi ?? I would imagine however we are more likely to be looking at Marc Pugh. All IMO anyways. We need replacements Alps, but it is unrealistic to believe we can have replacements for all of our best players just in case they pick up injuries etc. Do Arsenal have a tried and tested replacement for Cesc ? No Do Chelsea have tried and tested replacements for Essien and Lampard ? No End of the day if we had a player capable of picking up where Lallana left off he would either be playing or angling for a move elsewhere. Every football fan in the country worries about their best players getting injured, we won't be any different. Lets just wait and see what happens over January. IMO we will sign a few people especially IF we lose Punch/Barnard etc. But i don't think we will be spending willy nilly. I often wonder who would be the first person to kick up a fuss if we signed 5-6 players that don't end up playing and so sit around wasting money ??

And under those circumstances i am sure he will strengthen. If Punch leaves for the right amount of cash, i am sure he will be replaced. If Barnard is going to be banged up, i am sure he will be replaced. We don't know if Lallana is injured either. Who exactly should we replace Lallana with ? For example, should Fabregas or Lampard get serious injuries who are Arsenal or Chelsea's ready made replacements ?

Still, as grumpy as he is, and i know me and you have had our run ins, there is a point when banter finishes and character assassination begins.

Our fleet is managed by Lex Autolease, the repayments per month (its a Car Ownership Scheme) depend on the overall price. The Octavia, as you said, you get a decent amount for your money. I have always liked the Mondeo, its a good solid motor with decent extras, problem is as they are priced high on the forecourt the repayment prices per month are a lot. The octavia will cost me around £160 a month. But it seems a good build and good car. I can get the Toyota Prius for about £80 a month for an example to compare.

I wondered why Barnard was getting less of a look in as of late, i reckon saints may have had a bit of a heads up and understood the possibility that Barnard may have been going down. I'll be honest, if he didn't play for Saints i would be commenting on the fact he could be going down, i feel a little uneasy that this is all going on with one of our players. Hopefully it was all to do with self defence.

Getting the Octavia TDi VRS in Sept as my new company car, well, its on the list and is more than likely the one i will choose. Whats peoples overall opinions on it ? From what i have read it has had a very good write up.
