  1. Its a good dillemma for me, Barnard works hard and seems to be a goal scorer (but misses his fair share too) on form Lambert is the leagues best striker (but isn't on form), Connolly looks dangerous when fit and Guly links up well and brings people into the game. Everyone misses chances every now and again, it doesn't help that certain elements of our fanbase seem to wait for players to make a mistake so they can jeer them, which is pretty f*cking disgraceful IMO. Guly had a good game today, his only bad points were the fact that he missed some chances (as did others) and sometimes he and Lambert made the same runs. Someone said earlier in another thread that he is at times too clever for his teammates, which is pretty true IMO. Also what he brings to the team is probably missed by some fans. Honestly i believe only about 30% of football fans actually understand the game.
  2. Except that Lallana missed his fair share, Lambert has done the square root of f*ck all most of the season, Connolly is a crock, Patterson and Robertson have done relatively f*ck all since they left saints and BWP very much missed his fair share of easy chances. Guly is a good player, not a striker i agree, but he knows that and we know that, and i think Adkins knows that it is just injuries that have forced him to play upfront (although he was dropping deeper and playing in the hole really) did you not see he was making space for and allowing Lambert n friends to get involved ?
  3. 10 mil is a bit steep, but then we don't need to sell and he is an important player for us. Of course he and his father can put pressure on but still we won't be held to ransom. Similarly like Puncheon, his stock is rising and whether he wants out or not we can within reason hold out for what we feel is reasonable. If he does go it will be for around 5mil plus add ons IMO.
  4. Its about what he brings to the team, and the fact that we now have a lot of games to catch up with. Barnard has just had a hernia op, how long do you think he will last if we play him in every minute available ?? Similarly with Ox-C and the fact he gets cramp if playing too long. Never mind the fact that Guly set up two goals, runs himself into the ground on many occasions and is technically pretty good. Oh no, he is sh*te. Get rid of him, and Punch and Morgan and anyone else that makes a mistake more than once.
  5. Thats true, lol Forgot about that, Lallana was another crapper back when the dutch duo were doing their worst. Now, even though he arguably missed as many as Guly then Guly is the sh*te one and Lallana is a god.
  6. We do have some mongs for fans. Oh well, chuck him in the crap pile along with Anders, Delap, Oakley, Fuller, Davies, Ormerod, Puncheon etc etc etc
  7. 1-0 Guly. COYS
  8. Oh well, thought we may be able to get him on the cheap, i still reserve judgement as to whether he could do the business in the championship, and looking at his appearance stats for Reading i don't think he can.
  9. Isn't Antonio out of contract again in the summer ? I was under the impression that his contract extension was only a year ?? I may be wrong however.
  10. Wlshere couldn't cut it at this level anyway.......................
  11. I am no fan of Pardew but even i think the fact that everything is so so bad about the start of the season is all Pard's fault is rediculous. Are we forgetting about the situation in which Pardew left under a cloud ? The injuries ? The Wilkins era and also the fact that the owner of the club passed away ?? All of these things probably had a massive effect.
  12. Sorry Alps, But that is complete nonsensicle utter boll*cks. He was/is a good player and tried hard before the fans got on his back, even though the rest of the team was not firing either. He tracked back a lot more than young adam does and IMO often looked like he was dangerous. I do agree though, if for whatever reason he doesn't want to play for us then he should go, but it is a shame, we will struggle to match his quality at this level.
  13. I fear you have documented your own downfalls my friend.
  14. Even then you are admitting that it is barely acceptable.
  15. So you have pretty much admitted that even in your pro hunt world it barely limits within the realms of acceptability then ??
  16. There are better ways of scientific testing though, you do not have to squirt things in anythings eyes anymore to know what sort of damage it can do, that is an economical issue. It is much cheaper to squirt 'acid' at something and look at the effects other than paying for the 'acid' to be tested properly, and that is what is wrong. As for bernard matthews, i do not buy processed crap. Food of that ilk is the reason that we have so many health issues these days. I try whenever reasonably possible to buy higher wealthfare meats such as free range poultry products etc. Obviously i fall down and buy the odd thing some times, everyone does.
  17. I am not saying that it is all about the hunt no, but generally take away the gentry and you take away the hunt. It is however, on any level a desire to be thrilled by the extinguishing of life, which however you look at it...is sick.
  18. So it has a reason other than the fact that it is a thrill to kill a simpler being ?? Please pray tell, where am i going wrong in my analysis ?
  19. Its all hideous, why anyone would callously want to harm an animal for nothing more then nonsensical reasonings made up only to try and add some sort of excuse for a barbaric and disgusting act is inexcusable. The killing animals for food arguement is a non starter as well, that is done for a reason and one which is generally done in a more humane way then chasing them out of hiding and allowing a baited group of dogs tear them to pieces. It has everything to do with the sort of class that attends this meet, ones that wish to impose their will on a lesser being, to feel empowered by the blood, the chase. And it is sick. So it stays, they are c*nts.
  20. Spot on Benj Its a shame, i thought he was a top player who was let down by the team around him and the fans, he is a winger, wingers are inconsistent however when the movement infront of you is dire and you are played on the wrong side of the pitch you are fighting a losing battle.
  21. I don't live in those countries. Fox hunting is barbaric and is carried out by stuck up, inbred c*nts.
  22. I do agree btw, it should never have been called off this close to kick off, but then i have to put a lot of blame on Charltons door who although did not get the game called off earlier but also didn't manage to adequately prepare the pitch.
  23. calm down sweetheart
