I don't understand how everyone is kicking off if NC has chewed AP's ear off for some of the performances this season. He wants results and has ploughed ML's money to attempt to achieve those results, as i said before Pardew was more than happy spending the cash to attempt to get us to the playoffs and results against the lower teams have been disapointing. Do i want to see Pardew go ?? No, not yet i feel he has more to offer but saying he should not be under pressure to perform is nonsense. We probably have THE if not a top two best first 11 in the division and have spent more than most CCC teams, and in that respect the team is always going to come under pressure.

I wouldn't discount it, he is a very accomplished player already and can easily make the transition to at least the CCC in my eyes. Play the correct players around him and he will look even more class. I really hope he doesn't leave in the summer, but very much fear he will. He is going to be a fantastic player.

He has found his level in league 1 mind, but love how much passion he puts in. Still don't think he is a CB though.

I expect we will really struggle to keep hold of him this year, and he will be nigh on impossible to replace in this division.

This is in no way a dig alps so don't take this post as a wind up 'cos it really is not. But to understand what he actually gives to the team you really need to watch a full 90 minute display in the flesh, his ability never really is picked up by the radio or highlights as he does all his work in the background. He is definately our lynchpin, Chez hit the nail on the head, sometimes we play badly even when he is in the team but i think we definately miss him when he is not. He orchestrates a lot of what we do as a team going forward and all at a tender age. I love the fact that he has also began to add a more destructive part to his game aswell. If we lose him in the summer i honestly believe we will be half the side. He will never be adequately replaced at this level.

Yeah but it was all a massive hoo ha, -15 points, they went into admin and ok Bates bought them out of it but it was all contraversial and everything. We could have done better. But if we end the season playing the football we are playing now i will be happy. All i am saying was that it was quite possible to make the playoffs.

Loads of theories, he could have been taped up by a CCC club and NC but the brakes on ?? He definately has history for this. He could have had a spat with NC, AP is certainly very very very egotistical and so after this impressive win NC could have made a snide remark about tuesday ?? Also i have it on good authority that he reads the fans forums, he used to read them at his time at reading, he apparantly found out the name of a poster that kept posting his tactics and likely line ups that he saw at the training ground and got that poster banned. Or he could have this flu thats going around ?? We will probably never know, and tbh i can't see him leaving.

TBH alpine it is not his consistancy but the consitancy of us playing football on the ground. He simply does not operate as a player that is negated by a long hoof up the pitch, he is a very intelligent football playing midfielder who this year has begun to add a steely side to his game. He is a player that needs the ball. Our best young asset IMHO
