If SR do do the right thing and free up the rest of Ralph's life for him, very soon, I would suspect we would appoint someone who very few on here or even in England have heard of. I get the impression that Rasmus is extremely tuned in to a wide range of football leagues and will already have a short list and a very short list. Hoping for good news tomorrow!

It's funny how people are assuming sny managerial change and therefore cost comes out of the "striker money". None of us knows what the budget is and what level of cold hard investment SR are willing to make. Changing the manager to then not sign a striker or downgrade the quality makes no sense at all. I'm sure if they want to part ways with Ralph they will and it will not affect the recruitment plan. I hope it happens very soon (next day or so). I would love apoch back however unlikely most feel that might be, but who knows, he's done the bigger club, and he's some the huge club, maybe he fancies a proper project?! Even if not him, we need change.

Clearly SR are willing to invest in the squad to ensure survival and even prosperity. Keeping Ralph at the helm threatens that more than not signing a class forward. Time to go. Get someone with fresh energy and ideas who will harness the talents we now have. And quick.

It is highly unusual for Adam Blackmore to be so almost definite that the deal is agreed and with lots of other "noise" around this it feels to me like we are going to get him. All the nervousness is understandable given how good he is likely to be for us and with nothing more than instinct all the rumours of other clubs like Chelsea and Leeds are just stories for click bait etc I really think by the end of tomorrow we will be over the moon with our window which has already been good!!

He has shown he has the ability to lead the line. As you say keeping it up is the quality of a top player, consistent high level performances. Part of that comes as a result of the coaching process. I think he will prove to be that 10 goals a year player but we need 2 of those in reality, which could possibly be Gakpo. I'd love to see him plus another striker but Mara is still to blossom. These next 2 days will either leave us praying we have minimal injuries/suspensions or truly excited by what we could achieve this season.

I'm probably being far too unrealistic but I really hope we get 3 players in the next 2 days. The elusive striker/winger we've wanted all summer, a (d)CM, and a CB. We are showing we are on a good trajectory with these young talented and hugely energetic guys but 3 or 4 injuries (Lavia case in point) and potentially suddenly we are relying on those who are not really good enough. 3 new ones and it's a different story. Let Oriel, Bednarek, Stephens and Redmond go and get Gakpo, Garner or AMN (or both!!), and Culeta-Car and what a window!!!
