I really dont understand why GON would be good for us. Like others have said he needs to be good very quickly otherwise he will lose the fans (agent Oniel type stuff will come out). And he does not stand out among many on that list for me. Move on....please SR.

Tonda Ekert is clearly doing a good job with U21s and that is where he should stay. That group is vital to the club's squad and finances over the next 2-3 years. Some need to make the team, some need to generate funds. Moving Ekert to First team duties would be a gamble on two fronts, the first team performance and the development and performance of the U21s. Surely they're not that stupid😂🙏 Im hoping for someone with some sort ofdecent standing in tbe game. I like the idea of Marco Rose, Gerrard, maybe even Carrick. Mowbray until the summer would certainly keep us up but there are still plenty of points to allow us to get into the play-offs. We should look at someone who has a point to prove in their own career too, and who (in theory) will still be good if/when we get back up this time or the next. Now is the time to find someone who is happy to be here for 2 years+ on the basis everything goes well. Its never simple and I think that the stick SR get is a little unfair but to this point they are definitely in debit regarding their management choices. Statistically we should probabaly get the next one right😂

Not really sure he is. I think he is one of the 2 CM, as he can play the defensive role and the box to box role. Azaz is more fernades replacement.

What if we have needed / decided that in order to be able to shift some players at the prices we can actually sell them at, ie. BBD, Edozie, Smallbone, Aribo and possibly one or two others, we needed funds in to make sure we get the 4 or 5 players we really wanted. Im disappointed MF has gone (wasn't actually bothered by TD!) BUT if we end up signing the likes of Azaz, Fellows, Sargent and one or two more, id say that ok!! We can all judge properly in a few days time.

For the sake of my sanity Im going to assume that the lack of quality and neccessary signings is dow. To the selling clubs "knowing/assuming" that we were going to sell Dibling (and possibly MF) and so they have been quoting higher prices because they expect us to have more cash. These next few days will be very interesting and I hope exciting. But Im not very hopeful!!

Presumably the main task for a 3rd choice keeper is during the week on tbe training pitch. I doubt he'll see a Championship match but better to have someone than no-one, especially if the club know AR is back next season IF we go up.

IF...we are not prepared to pay 15m(or even up to 20m) for Fellows or anyone else of that standard then we are unlikely to progress very easily. We need a few Fellows type who are decent in the Champshionship amd can still progress to PL level. Its not like we don't have the money.

Didn't Dragon say the loans caused us a problem when we went up? Presumably because we already had the players but then needed to use funds to keep them, limiting spend under PSR as a result for completely "new" and additional players? For this reason I suspect we will only or at least in the main (maybe one like Downes or THB) see loans for experienced players who we predict will only be here a year to do a job and/or will be really cheap if we choose to make them permanent next summer.

I think thats the point really. We are not going to get north of 25m from any team for him, so why sell him?!
