As a professional coach (not football) I am an optimistic when it comes to improvement of athletes. Im certain Bazunu is already better than 23/24 season, and expect him to be better than last season. Our new GK Coach will surely get some improvement. Leaving said that though, will the improvement be good enough for a team wishing to win the championship and then play in the PL next season? Im not convinced by that. Matt Ryan does not seem to me to be any better than AMC from what I can remember of him, and also from what a few BHA fans have told me previously, ok, but not spectacular. I think Patterson at Sunderland would be a good shout but to be honest I don't really know!! I do think that the GK is a very crucial signing this summer so let's see who comes since.

Why didn't you actually answer his question?
-
As long as we get 100m+ for them all I wont care.
-
So are we any closer to knowing who tbe AM is that was mentioned alongside the CB and ST as immediate signings?!
-
So how much does it take for us to sell the main 4 players? We are in a aellers market eith these players so I'd expect very decent fees. Fernandes....long contract remaining, potential is huge. At least 40-45m. Dibling....shorter contract but potential higher probably than Fernandes. Younger too. I'd say similar 40-45m, but would hope we can get 50m+ plus good sell-on percentage. Ramsdale....long contract remaining, got to be 30-35m+ hopefully nearer 40m. THB....lost a but of his shine last season so not sure too many will be after him but maybe one of the promoted clubs. Possibly Palace if they lose Guihi. I'd say 30-35m+ could force our hand. That would put in tbe pot somewhere between 140-160m possibly, plus what we've already made from KS and PO. A significant sum that should mean two or three good ones fro this season but also mean we have more availalble if we go up immediately. I'd hope one or two would stay but selling all four this summer may well be the best strategy for the long term.

Maybe theres a loan swap with Ramsdale and Patterson?
-
Hadn't seen that but nevertheless. I much prefer 2 CBs but all I care about this season is he produces winning football. I don't care how much possession we have or what formation๐
-
I like this signing. I hope he's not the only out and out Striker we sign but someone who is a full international at 20 is not bad. Clearly a powerful player which we've lacked, and i think him, Archer (despite what others may think, Im confident he will prove good this season), and A.N.Other (better) will be exciting.

Might need 5 CBs if Still plays 3..
-
True. Promote (๐) him to Club Captain and appoint someone else as Team Captain who is first choice every game.
-
I said CB group, not a starting player. As 3rd or 4th choice he's a good option because he loves the club. He does have good experience for some of the younger ones to learn from. We don't need very many of his type but two or three "locals" so to speak are good to have. I do not think he better than a mod championship starting CB, but he'll do as one of the back up options, plus has a little bit of versatility to cover RB if desperate or even DCM. Squad player in Championship. Useless in PL.
-
I am a surprised by this BUT he is good enough to be in tbe CB group in The Championship. In the PL NO!!!!! Maybe we are planning to sell next summer if we go up, with a longer contract helping that.

For??
-
Which 6 players? Its behind a paywall...
-
Lots of choppy seas ahead I expect....
-
I'd think at least that to make it worth our while. Maybe 30m plus Brooks.
-
Ramsdale made quite a big deal of "being on the south coast" when he signed last year. For this reason alone, I believe he might actually stay, but I wonder whether Bournemouth will either loan or sign him. Signing will take 30m I imagine. Loaning is probabaly the best outcome for all parties. I just hope we have a complete refresh of goalkeepers and find a way of getting rid of AMC and Bazunu too. Possibly an experienced loaned this year as main man, with a couple of up and coming ones who could play this season if needed. And then if we go back up next summer AR returns, loaned GK goes back, and the other two might be good backups. If not address it then. If we do not go back up immediately, sell AR, and go from there. Year two will be much harder financially unless we've maximised sales this summer.
-
Would probabaly be a really decent signing.
-
Fellows = the attacking midfielder we are after??
-
Im not too fussed about having a mega tall striker BUT it is something we lack for corners & free kicks into the box. Someone will no doubt correct me but I think its a long time since we were an afield threat for corners, and that means they are almost a waste of time and more likely to give the opposition an easy time. Banging long balls to a tall man is only effective if you have runners off them and is quite a primitive tactic now (unless its very late in tbe game etc). A player who can get in the right position very often is exactly what we need so that others creating chances can confidently rely on. The striker to be there. When you don't have that you erode confidence of wingers and AMs and they will be less inclined to be positive. So I like the idea of this Downs bloke. I'd still like another, maybe more experienced, Sargent or Stansfield maybe

Can you share the link please?

Crikey, Juric really is an idiot if happy to apend that on KS๐๐ Get it done Saints!! Would like to think we will spend reasonable sums on the striker who should be our main one. It seems like Spors has got a good appreciation of our weaknesses with the CB, Striker and AM being "urgent immediate" signings. I have a feeling this might actually be the best window we have had for a long time!๐ค๐ค๐ค

Somebody from Newcastle?
-
Forgot Charles and Edozie. They are worth keeping.

Its really interesting reading all the opinions of players and who should stay and who should go. In reality we probably on have Ramsdale and Fernandes who we should keep; maybe include the talent that Dibling is (rather than the finished article he isn't yet). Ramsdale is being touted about everywhere by everyone it would seem, and think he might stay. Fernandes much less, but I hope he stays (only going on his recent quotes really) but probabaly wont. Didbling in my opinion is 50:50 (given his Chelsea experience). EVERYONE else I really couldnt give two hoots whether they go or not. Some I would prefer to go for sure. I'd happily see the players move on; Stephens, AMC, Bree, Manning, Bednarek, Smallbone, Fraser, Onuacha, Sugawara, Aribo. Im happy to give these a season as still young enough to improve; Archer, Wood, Wellington, Edwards Ive probabaly missed some out but thats the problem! Will Still has a viewing very big summer and a very big task ahead of him. I expect ALOT of INS, but more OUTS. I also expect it to take (and think it best) two seasons to get back to PL.
