"And to those worrying, he was having a good long chat with Le Tiss at the end." I hope Matt was encouraging to stay and expressing why he did.

Lots of mixed feeling on this, is it a goodbye or people looking to much into it? The mail, strangely for them, put a positive spin on things: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2621924/Adam-Lallana-delivers-hope-Southampton-fans-hell-stay-cleaning-awards.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490&utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter What do we think? Watching the speech did come across as emotional, I would be gutted if he left. Almost as bad as MLT leaving the club in my view.

Positive Lallana comments expressed just 4 months ago
Saint-Beer replied to Saint-Beer's topic in The Saints
I think happiness has a big part to play. Sure money is great, but it can't buy you happiness. I for one if in a good team, the star of the team and getting well paid would not be fussed about moving. I'm sure I'm not the only person to think this way. -
Found this article written only 4 months ago saying how happy he is, do we have reason to believe this has changed ? https://www.givemesport.com/414218-manchester-united-target-adam-lallana-wants-saints-stay#

How many do you think will be sold if any?

I found he said this when he said his contract in April last year. Let's hope he still feels the same. -

When did Lallana make that comment? -
"No, I'm saying a big part of the player he is comes down to the environment the club has provided, and the fact that he wasn't warming the bench in a mega-stadium somewhere. His journey as a footballer is quite remarkable. Relegated from the Championship, two promotions, now an established Premier League star with the beginnings of an international career. If there was something that'd keep him here, I'd like to think it's the odyssey he's had so far, along with a belief that he can achieve his ambitions at the club." Like this. I hope his journey at Southampton and he's happy will keep Ad's with us.

If you do a #lallana on twitter it looks like he's all but gone. Times report he favours a move to Liverpool and they are not really a gossip paper. Really looks like he could be off in the summer.

Thanks Matt Oakley.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27205266

The standard response: "I'm just focusing on the two games I've got left and then see what happens." Why do they keep saying, "see what happens or we will see what the summer holds", why not say I'm happy and not going anywhere?!
-
Are we concerned about Ad's comments? Must admit to say he was happy and not going anywhere would have been nice to hear. From BT Sport: However, England international Lallana -- who has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham -- refused to offer any guarantees that he will stay when questioned over his future after Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Everton. “I am concentrating on the last two games and then I will sit down in the summer and see what happens,” he said. “I just want to enjoy my football. That’s when I am at my happiest. “We have top players, a top manager and a top team. If we can add to that in the transfer market and keep progressing I am sure we can compete [for European football].” Meanwhile, Pochettino avoided questions over Lallana’s future following the match, insisting he would only talk about the match. “There were many positives aspects from the win,” he added. “In the overall analysis, we just followed our style. We played in the way we know how to play. It worked for us to play a team that is fighting to get into the Champions League as well. “I want to thank the players, the medical staff and overall the entire club because we matched our record in the history of the Premier League with this result.”

Every thing you read is about a saints player on a verge of leaving. This latest article follows on post about Alex crooks twitter remarks. I for one is concerned that we will lose Lallana which would be terrible. If Morgan and Jay where to follow it would, well be unthinkable. So saints have any hope of keeping these players? Obviously if poch does extend his contract this would certainly help, but if the likes of Lallana are now getting called up to the national squad and speaking to players about champions league, is it invertible they will move ? A few big signings for us would no doubt help. Not meant to be a negative post, but there is a huge amount of press coverage over our players. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2036310-manchester-united-transfer-news-adam-lallana-sell-on-clause-complicates-deal

This article makes a valid point about Saints being in a awkward situation... http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/southampton-line-up-former-player-to-take-over-from-mauricio-poch

Found an article about Saints potentially looking for managers to replace Poch. Although the article does state "The South American will become a free agent in the summer", which of course is wrong. I hope there working on a deal to keep Poch !! http://www.clubcall.com/southampton/southampton-look-at-managerial-candidates-1721668.html

How have people not slit there wrists reading all these negative comments?! My word, listen to yourselves. Support your team.

I have a friend who is into his ice hockey in a big way. He can't speak highly enough of Ralph and is very respected in the ice hockey world and meant to be extremely clever man. As he stats, ‘It’s about leadership and management. The sport I come from is irrelevant. From what he says sounds very positive. Might give Poch more freedom which will help him. Not too worried so far.
-
Griffo, that's probably because you are the type to say the comments I'm referring too. I've watched saints for 25 years, season ticket holder as well. They are not valid opinions but more negative and not very constructive remarks.
-
I do, just generally read and not post. Just frustrated by the comments :-)

Can't believe the amount of dribble I'm reading, "poch should apologies to the fans", "ticket sales will suffer", "clubs not for the fans anymore" and so on. All rubbish!! Poch should apologies ?? Why ? For having faith in our squad and those players who got us this far in the cup?! Ticket sales will suffer? What because of one bad game? Because we only have the league left? So what about getting 8th or above ? Seeing young talent develop in this team full of some great players? Clubs not for the fans? Get a grip, one bad game and we are out the cup does not mean we go into melt down and start questioning the club, it's morals and direction. Makes me so angry to read these silly comments. Don't get me wrong, I was bitterly disappointed Saturday and questioned the line up, but Sunderland made 9 changes and the players we had out should have won. End of. Poch has given us some great football, nurturing talent like Lallana and putting us 8th in the league. Some of you really need to take a step back and think before writing these remarks.
-
Art, you seem extremely against the guy. Lots of players clash, but to be happy a quality international forward is leaving is sad. I remember all the negativity you had towards Lallana until his performances where more consistent.

Guys, there is probably something posted already, but is there a stream I can use on my iPad for today's game ? Thanks !

EXCLUSIVE: Manchester United plan to sign Adam Lallana
Saint-Beer replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I for one would be gutted to see him go. Let's hope his love for the club, young family, being captain and the statement of intent signing players like Osvaldo keep him here and happy. -
JoeShmoe, true ! I'm annoyed as much as the next saints fan but some of the rubbish people come out with is laughable !
-
Ok, shaw is out with a virus. So that's why fox is playing. Jos, I don't have a clue !! This forum is funny, if the club has a bad spell it's "get rid of manager" or "sell him etc". Poch has done well, give him a break !!
