Then there was that goal against Liverpool that Channon scored how many pases was it, beating Man U 6-3, going back even further 9 against Wolves.

I know there are one or two around the same age as me that post on here and did the same as me, during the school holidays we used to play football in the car park at The Dell. The players of that time when they came and went from the ground used to sign our pictures in our scrap books as long as we stood in line quietly. Some times if we were lucky we would be allowed into the ground under the West Stand to watch the players train.

I graduated to that part of The Milton cica 1970 at the age of 16 after standing on the edge in my early teens.

I used to stand between the S in Toomers and the first S in sports at the start of the game and would be anyones guess where I would end up by full time.

IMO the season has not started for us yet with all the ups and downs of the past couple of weeks, points wise we are in a slightly better position than we were last season so if we can get things sorted on the manager front and get RL and Al 100% we still have a chance of one the automatic places.

I used to love it stood on The Milton, the songs we sung were origional and funny (not very PC by todays standards) with all due due respect to those who sit/stand in the Northam they make a good noise but it is very repetative. IMO one of the problems being in a seated area is not the best way to get a good song going time to bring in safe standing behind the goals.

It might have been Bob Gough

I don't agree with some of the things Cortese has done, he may have reflected and looked at what has gone on over the ten years prior to his involvment with the club and thought I must get this appointment 100% correct. He decided that Adkins was not the man IHO to take the club forward.

My location tells the story where I started back in the day could not not beat a good old Knees up Muver Brown under the Toomers. Moved to the Archers for a couple of seasons then under the West, Archers end with a lot of the old lads. There a still good number of us 50 plus years of age still going.

Steve e-mail me a copy of your CV, with your prowess on the pitch and my administration skills we could apply for the job as a double act. -
Or is it Cortese playing silly buggers, if Adkins is installed IMO he will get on with the job in a quiet way and do a good job. IMO he might have a thought going round in his head that if I don't get Saints up this year will I be out of work next summer.

Tomorrow will come and go and we will still be asking the question who is going to be our next manager.
