Unless we are seventh with just a home game with Coventry left to go
-
It is quite optimistic also
-
Phew, I am relieved that we can write him off already....no need for me to get worked up and then get disappointed. BTW, the term "Mong" is highly offensive (unless you are Rickie Gervais of course).

The acceptable distance to stand behind someone at the urinal?
kpturner replied to kwsaint's topic in The Muppet Show
Don't be silly - I clearly have to use both hands to keep my wee on target. -
Did one there too - much more comfortable than Brentford. Come to think of it, I seem to have a fettish for doing a poo at all the away grounds. At Doncaster there was carnage in one of the two cubicles, so I had to go and give the other one a little spring clean before doing my stuff.

Why?

Hands up who couldn't work out who was responding to who in that Derry/Shurlock spat. A bit of training on the quote facility required!

Ahhh, now I know who you are -
Not at Brentford they ain't.
-
More than a care to remember - all been very satisfactory. However, I did miss Stern John's goal against Sheff Utd in the Pearson era - the one that put us 2-1 up just after the break.
-
You have to be more than "good" to play regularly. You also need to be injury free.
-
By "important goals" do you mean the goal he scored right at the end of injury time? I don't think we had time to capitalise - although it helped our GD I guess.
-
I like him a lot. I get a buzz when I see him coming on because I expect him to do something special.......it is just that he hasn't done it yet. But he will - I just know it.
-
That is the point - the fact that we haven't signed anyone does not mean "we don't have as much as we like to think". It just means that clubs do not wish to sell. The fact that we are not willing to bid more than we think a player is worth is a good thing IMHO, given the sh1te we were in not long ago. I don't see bringing Puncheon back as desperation - I think it was the best solution for club and player if the issues could be resolved. The fact that Cortese obviously wrote the statement for Puncheon to issue just shows who had the upper hand in the reconciliation.

Is it a song?

Do you doubt that we did actually bid a decent sum (by Championship standards) for Hooper then? Since Celtic made it public, they did not say that the bid was derisory did they? They just said that he wasn't for sale. I cannot buy in to the idea put forward by some people that we made a large bid just for show, in the knowledge that we would never have to actually part with the cash. Nobody takes those sort of risks surely?

Please elaborate on the verb "to spuff"
-
I see the comments on the piece are quite complimentary.

Can we have them survive, but also be deducted 10 points, and be relegated, and have all the points that teams got off them this season expunged from the records? Surely possible!
-
Haven't read the whole thread, so it may have been mentioned several times before - but if that statement "from Puncheon" was not actually written by Cortese I will eat my hat. "If you want to play football this season you will issue a statement, and this is what it will say......"
-
So we need to buy a pacy striker with a brain and an ability to finish at Championship level and above - in the January window.......should be simple. I cannot imagine why haven't done it already!
-
That would be "stableford" then
-
I thought he was just going for the grunge look when I watched the Sky Plus recording. I promised myself I would not watch it while driving back from the stadium, but I couldn't help myself. Still trying to find a highlight.

Fishing or own goal?

Picky though it sounds - trying to get back from where? It was a corner.
