Enjoyed a fantastic day at Plymouth today to back up great days at Brentford and Brighton (and a not so great evening at Rochdale). However, at the considerable risk of getting a serious flaming, I have to say that the chants that our fans come out with are cringe worthy in the extreme. "We are Southampton, we do what we want" ?!! What a pile of embarrassingly arrogant sh1te that it. The "we don't care about you" version is bad enough, but at least it had a bit of relevance at Bournemouth and Brighton. "He's back from the dead...." FFS! At least Connolly showed enough displeasure at that chant today to hopefully seal its fate. "Plymouth's going down with no money in the bank"....real classy that it is. Short memories or what? ...and the Cortese one about coming from Italy and hating Pompey......please and to the younger element walking around the outside of the stadium chanting "going down" before the game - not good chaps, not good. Anyway, rant over - back to my celebrations

I remember the last promotion well. Got hit on the head by a blow up doll at Luton and got hit in the key by a lump of sugar on the coach home. We won 2-1 I think. We also stopped at some traffic lights and I said to my mate that the old lady outside the window looked just like my nan. As he looked around somebody gobbed a big greeny out of the window over her. Lovely days on Princess Summerbee coaches! Then it was up to Orient to the 1-1 draw and we were up. Great night and a collapsed wall I think. Shame we couldn't beat Spurs at home to win the title.
