I agree with you - definitely. I also agree that the alledged "air-brushing of history" is, if true, a sad state of affairs. I also agree that the clubs PR around this whole situation could be much better. I carry a golf bag personally signed by LM and I think he deserves all the recognition he can get for his achievements with SFC. However, this particular non-event on last nights programme does not warrant all this fuss - and I expect if you asked him about it he would probably agree.

The phrase "making a mountain out of a molehill" springs to mind. Perhaps the BBC asked the club to comment on their lifetime achievement award to LM and they merely clarified that the award was not from the club itself, but from his peers. I expect if they had just said "no comment" as you suggested you and all the other drama queens on this forum would be making a big song and dance about that too.

Cortese didn't say anything. The presenter just reiterated that LMs award was from his peers, not the club. Was he supposed to lie? Do you think the club requested the statement to be made or what?

Actually this is complete rubbish. Whether or not Saints win is entirely down to whether I turn left or right when I come up the stairs into the stand. If I turn right we win. If I turn left, we lose - unless I remember to step off with my left foot. HTH EDIT: I haven't worked out the pattern for when we draw. Sorry.

Unfortunately you get loads of brainless idiots at football matches all over the place - it is the law of averages. It is just very annoying if they are in your earshot. Also, I have to say that those who use the term "mong" to insult these aforementioned brainless idiots should take a look at themselves also ;-)
