This. And the fact I'm suspicious of anyone who smiles so broadly you can see all their teeth.

Very sorry for him. Will it affect the money (24M? 25M?) we got for him? Will it affect his pace (his main asset) in the long run? https://sg.news.yahoo.com/united-full-back-shaw-carried-off-injured-psv-211744986--sow.html

http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/09/04/sp-german-legend-explains-why-southampton-are-a-more-attractive/? Incidentally, does anyone remember Bierhoff being linked to Saints near the end of his playing career (about 12 years ago) but the deal fell through because we wouldn't break our wage structure for him?

...did you just watch the Dejan Lovren comedy show? Gave the ball away to a West Ham player from which they duly scored.

Just wondering why there isn't a dedicated post-match thread for Newcastle-Saints and poll for Saints MOTM, like we used to have? Sorry if I seem to be asking too much but I always like to see the results of the poll.

Agree, can't score for toffee. JWP being another.

Poch seems to be bigging himself up like Harry Redknapp in this radio interview: http://tottenhamhotspur.blogspot.sg/2015/07/pochettino-radio-interview-part-3.html Claims he changed everything at Saints in a year and a half from conceding the most goals in the Premier League to a defensively tight team. Also claims he was starting from scratch when he joined Spurs. What an ego the man has.

Not strictly Saints related but thought you lot might like to know. https://sg.sports.yahoo.com/news/koemans-son-joins-dutch-second-division-outfit-fc-154712676--sow.html AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - Ronald Koeman, the son of the Southampton manager with the same name, has signed for modest Dutch second division team FC Oss, the club said on Tuesday (fcoss.nl). The goalkeeper has moved from Almere City, where he failed to get any game time over the last two seasons. “I have a really good feeling about this club. I think that I can grow here and I’m looking forward to fighting for a place in the team,” said the 20-year-old. FC Oss have already sold last season’s first-choice goalkeeper Luuk Koopmans to league champions PSV Eindhoven. Koeman senior also recruited a keeper this week with the loan signing of former Dutch number one Maarten Stekelenburg.

Totally agree. The new shirt's awful! I hope it doesn't reflect in our play next season.

Not good enough then? .......................................... Hibs have ended the loan deal of Southampton attacker Jake Sinclair early, after he failed to make an impression at Easter Road. The 20-year-old signed for the Hibees on a season long loan deal in August, but has only made 3 appearances in that time. Sinclair will now head back to the Premeirship club, with Hibs boss Alan Stubbs looking to freshen up his squad. Speaking on the official club website, Stubbs said: “I’d like to thank Jake and wish him all the best for the next stage in his career and I’d also like to thank Southampton for allowing us to take him here on loan.” Sinclair follows fellow loanee Matthew Kennedy (Everton) in going back to his parent club this transfer window. Good luck in the future Jake from everyone at Hibernian-Mad. http://www.hibernian-mad.co.uk/news/tmnw/hibs_end_jake_sinclair_loan_deal_851150/index.shtml#_methods=onPlusOne%2C_ready%2C_close%2C_open%2C_resizeMe%2C_renderstart%2Concircled%2Cdrefresh%2Cerefresh&id=I0_1421074447136&parent=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hibernian-mad.co.uk&pfname=&rpctoken=8756140
