Guly was **** poor today, until he moved up front. He then marginally improved. For me he is more of a forward than a midfielder and we should utilise him in this manner. We severly lacked any kind of width whatsoever in the first half. I am not sure whether this is Guly's fault, or he was acting under instruction. Either way, it really didn't work. I'm grateful for Guly's contribution this season, but I would be quite happy for him to be rested for a few games

Lambert looked like he was carrying a bit of an injury. I did not think he performed badly today, it was just not one of his better games. Guly was ineffective for 95% of the match. I am usually a fan of Guly, but i can see why he is attracting criticism.

We were poor in the first half but sounded like we applied a lot of pressure in the second. Happy(ish) with a point given we conceded first, but disappointing that we couldn't capitalize on West Hams loltastic defeat at Ipswich

Doesn't really sound like we are at the races today. Away form is a concern, but with West Ham losing, we should forget about this result and move on to the next game. Our league situation hasn't changed much after today.

Do you lot get off on abusing Alpine? I've been lurking on the forum for a long time and have hardly posted, but i 'enjoy' reading all the comments. Just want to say several of you appear to have some grudge against posters for no real reason, other than their opinion seems to differ from your own. I think you should question why that is.

I don't think it would necessarily be a good thing signing a player who has left a club because of a dispute with his manager (which goes back a while). If the guy can't rise above something like this I don't think he would be right for Southampton.
