I think our participation was wrong in this respect as we don't seem to have benefited much compared to American companies, but the end result is better for the people of Iraq.

The city centre is very bland imo. It's much like Liverpool with the Albert dock area. I didn't see any sectarianism and the city centre seemed like a neutral zone, but noticed a pub wth a sign saying no football shirts. A few of us stayed there when Saints were on the Scotland pre season friendly and i'd recommend you don't find a cheap city centre hotel. Reckon ours was full of DSS smackheads.
