I think you're struggling even more with the basic concept of 'priority'.

Two good CBs, with one "ok" back-up, a poor 4th choice and a couple of up and coming younger players is a pretty reasonable set-up for most clubs.

Why not apply that throughout the squad? In theory every squad member can be improved on, but 4th choice CB isn't really a pressing priority at the moment.

Replacing another member of our first X! (Fonte) a real priority? I can't see Yoshida happy being 4th choice CB? You're never going to have someone that good hanging around in such a position. Hope that Stephens steps up is more likely.

Agree with most of that (apart from bit about Sharp), did like the look of Pelle, touch of class, would do well with runners off him. Also thought Clyne, JWP, Reed and Chambers played well, decent enough work out all told. Could have done with Davis and Tadic, pity they weren't able to appear.
