Have you completely missed why fans are p****d off with Lallana and Lovren?
-
Heard a rumour they're doing away with the deal soon?

Things could be worse - your memories of 2007-2009

I think we actually played some good football in the 08/09 season, especially away from home. Low point for me was Wolves away that season, 3-0 down at half time, £30 to get in, nailed on for relegation, not too many up there, really was shi*e! -
We do need to get a move on though, our current situation isn't entirely comparable to previous years or other clubs - at the start of this week our squad was 5 players weaker than the start of last season (Shaw, Lambert, Lallana, Guly and Osvaldo) - yes we'll have a bit of movement through from the Under 21s, but not to cover that change in the squad - that's a fair bit of activity we still need to undertake with just over a week to the first pre-season game.

Same, don't know much about either, but had a read up and prefer Castaignos. Playing devil's advocate though, could it be that due to a fair amount of change and upheaval this summer, their preference in key positions is for a few senior players that they feel they can rely on to come in and perform straight away (Pelle), regardless of future sell on fee, rather than being able to speculate on greater potential that may take a season or two to mature into what we need week in, week out (Castaignos)?

No-one on here has a clue how much might or might not have been bid for Schneiderlin.

Does anyone honestly believe players were sticking around because they thought they were going to get Champions League football with Saints?
-
I don't blame the players for wanting more money and the chance to play in the Champions League, if done in the right way, but Lovren's comments were a disgrace, simple as that.
-
He's clearly not a cracking player yet, look at his record from last season.
-
Was Robert Snodgrass not voted their player of the season? Still a fair bit of room for him to develop and demonstrate consistency. However, I'd be more than happy to see him as an option off the bench.
-
Would have thought Spurs would have had greater priorities in other positions.
-
In many ways they're happier selling game-by-game, can make more money I reckon, but once they start selling individual match tickets (which will be quite soon), it would make it a right ballache to sell season tickets, seats already taken etc.
-
I think the hardest position to recruit for in football is 2nd choice goalkeeper - you need someone god enough to step in and do a good job, but at the same time will be ok with hardly playing all season. Ideally a youner player still looking to learn and develop, like Gazzaniga should have been.

Is Amy Lewis who we now go to in Sky Sports? Seems to be covering us a bit these days. -
-
But Lovren served us well throughout his year at the club, gave 100% each game, I'm sure you were happy to clap him at the last game of last season. Some fans are so fickle and have the shortest of memories
-
You're happy with a player threatening to go on strike to get a move, weakening our club's position, openly admitting he was dreaming of playing for someone else while our captain, then fair enough, most aren't. Would you be happy to clap and cheer Lovren if he lines up against us at Anfield?
-
If Lovren lines up against us at Anfield, will you clap and cheer him?
-
He's admitted himself he was dreaming of playing for Liverpool for a chunk of last season. No-one has a problem with players moving clubs, it's the way it's done that is an issue. See the club's reaction to his move compared to Shaw or Lambert.

ANyone on here actually watched a lot of him? Sounds a class addition for us. Will our current players be aware of his ability/potential? -
Plenty wrong in this post, but I'd love to see the reaction from Liverpool fans if one of your players came out with a statement like Lovren's, while trying to move to another club. How many minutes silence would you need to get over that.

Polish immigrant taking our jobs innit.

Ha, would be amusing if anyone could get away with that.
