  1. Yep, seems a reasonable assessment to me. Could the only good thing about the current situation be that it will alert Krueger to any limitations that Reed may have in his new role and short-falls in their current organisation set-up?
  2. I've said I'm unhappy that Lambert has been sold. If we sell all those players and don't adequately replace them, I'll have no problem being critical of the club. What plan should the board be letting the players know about? I think part of the problem is Cortese raised expectations very highly within the club with talk of Champions League qualification, anything the current board say is going to go down poorly in comparison to that.
  3. So a journalist discloses pertinent information only if he's pressed by random members of the public? And you're not interested in the detail anyway.
  4. Where have I said everything is fine? I've said the opposite, there are clearly issues, but what is the detail? If you're unable to answer it, so be it.
  5. Exactly. There are obviously issues to sort out within the club and the new board are going to have to step up to the mark pretty quick, but what do the majority of players have to be unhappy about?
  6. I don't need to read it again. So Fonte and Cork have been fobbed off from contract talks? That's fair criticism, that should have been sorted by the club if that's the case, what else should the board have done that they haven't? What constitutes sufficient communication in this context?
  7. They're obviously not going to do that. With regard to the OP, Blackmore says a lot, but he says nothing. What is the actual issue between board and players? Why don't the players like the board? What do they want to see happen that hasn't happened? Blackmore doesn't give any detail.
  8. I am sure we'll have a pre-season tour.
  9. Ha ha, what the f**k, I've got no problem with it being announced in June, I just want to hear if anyones anyone has heard different, as I actually go to the games.
  10. Yeah, thats my take on it. The board are probably suffering from being naive and have been caught out in the deep end early on, but they're clearly not asset-stripping. Why would Krueger come on board for that, unless KL is playing him as a complete fool which he clearly isn't.
  11. Probably be announced sometime in June as we have done over the last few years. Is someone suggesting that's not going to happen this year?
  12. Who is 'wetting themselves' over Koeman? Seems to be just good, well balanced discussion. If you're expecting a perfect manager, good luck with your wait. Who would be your first few choices for new manager?
  13. So that's assuming we don't sell Osvaldo or Mayuka? So you didn't expect or hope for Lambert to be our first choice striker next season anyway, neither did I.
  14. No, of course it isn't.
  15. Not sure if you're agreeing with me or not. Put it another way,if the club didn't buy an attempt at a new first choice forward this summer, would you complain about that?
  16. I'd certainly be happy with him, a big enough name and character to give the club a bit of a lift.
  17. Did you expect Lambert to be our first choice striker next season? He's been class for us, but won't go on for ever. I'd have kept him personally and I think the timing is wrong and the price too low, but he will need replacing very soon, regardless of whether we sell him or not.
  18. It seems he's definitely available then and keen to come to the Premier League, just whether we feel he's right for us.
  19. The timing is poor and in my eyes the value still to low (without knowing the set-up of any add-ons), but it is somewhat ironic that this board was excited about replacing Lambert 12 months ago, a fair few posts about him being washed up and not it's the end of the world that we're cashing in on him. If we don't stand firm on Lallana I'll be worried and disappointed.
  20. I'd be happy with Koeman. Seems like he wants a move to the Prem, so we'd appeal to him. Bit of an up and down track record in early management, but a definite success at Feyenoord.
  21. Would we not have to replace Lambert in a year or so anyway?
  22. Yes, Osvaldo was a poor signing, but I'm not sure what your point is?
  23. Depends what you consider Lambert's role for us now? He was already replaced by the club nearly 12 months ago with Osvaldo, he was not going to be our first choice forward for the next 12-24 months anyway.
  24. Why on earth should he resign?
