Well see my comments on the end of season thread stickied at the top of the board re Forren; completely agree, I struggle to buy all this "prep for next season" nonsense, in all the interviews when he signed he said he was fully fit. Take a month maybe to get up to speed, but to not even get a kick over 5 months is bizarre.

It's alright and decent for the price, but for the money I think he's on I would have thought he'd be spending double that.

That's what I mean, if we bring in a new CB, which I think we all expect we will and we assume Forren will step up, that the leaves three of current CBs to fit into the two remaining positions in the squad. And that's assuming Stephens doesn't step up. If I had to pick one CB to get rid of it would either be Yoshida or Fonte and I can't see us getting rid of Yoshida.

But that's my point; the assumption is that we're going to bring in at least one more CB? And that Forren will step up (leap of faith, but that's the assumption I'm going with) - would leave us with 5 senior CBs, 6 if you included Stephens who was officially included in the first team at the start of the season just gone. Actually put Stephens down as someone who should go out on loan for a year. Man United and Chelsea examples a bit different as there is one from both your lists that play fairly often in midfield - Luiz and Jones. Plus both their teams play a fair few more games than us each season.

I would assume/guess that one of Hooiveld/Fonte/Yoshida will be leaving, either as a year long loan or sold. To me they are all of a similar standard (with different qualities/weaknesses), so hard to guess which one. Can't see Yoshida being shown the door after only a year. Hooiveld has remained MP's choice for a long run of game. So possibly Fonte?

But this case is in all likelihood all about race, religion or ideology. If you do not want to engage in debate with other posters on this incident there are plenty of other threads to read and post on.

How many British people have beheaded someone for wearing a t-shirt they disagree with? And just because British people may have behaved like this in the past, doesn't mean we should be comfortable with importing people with such views? Have you been to Woolwich recently?

But if we're bringing in people from abroad who behave like this, then maybe it is an issue? Especially if their reason for behaving like this is that their culture and beliefs are at odds with ours.
