  1. 16 on a YTS scheme having never been on the books of a professional football club previously.
  2. I don't think that's teh system used at Dortmund. When I went there last year it was the same as the old terraces in England (but just newly built) in that there were stanctions spread out around the stand, but not a rail every two rows.
  3. Ha ha, wait til MLG sees this.
  4. Wrong.
  5. They'll still be telling their kids and grandkids about the day in 30 years time, truly one of the greatest in their history.
  6. Wow, what a waste of your time. You've completely missed the point.
  7. Any normal English football fan would say the FA Cup.
  8. The perception by many that areas have been taken over by muslims and islamic culture - halal butchers, muslim book-shops, women in burkas, muslim schools, signs in Urdu etc. Whether you think it's happened or not and whether you think it's a good or bad thing doesn't matter - it's the perception of many of the white working class people from these cities that their culture and communities are under threat which has led to the rise of things like the EDL as much as the major news-grabbing stories such as terrorist activities, which are more the spark rather than the long-term cause.
  9. That's where they sprung up from as an organised group, but the feelings and opinions of many of the group's supporters have been simmering for a fair while before. It's like most things in history, you have immediate catalysts and more long term causes. It's just brought things to the surface and public attention a lot more.
  10. What are you talking about? Who has suggested more people are becoming Muslims? Where have I said I have a problem with anything? I am explaining one of the reasons for the rise and support of the EDL and not just the acts of terrorism and violence carried out by extremists. Look at the riots that happened in Oldham, Bradford, Burnley and Leeds in the summer of 2001.
  11. Scratch that, Osvaldo is on the bench ha!
  12. The various players mentioned in this thread, but Osvaldo particularly. Can't see us signing him, but he's been mentioned so much and it should be a cracking game, so worth a watch. Yeah Scottish final ain't great, think Hooper scored both.
  13. But the EDL is about more than just high profile acts of Islamic extremism that have taken place in this country. It's also against the day to day islamification of many of the towns and cities that EDL supporters come from. The UK's foreign policy is going to do little to change that either way.
  14. A chance to see some of our 'targets' in the Celtic and Roma games today.
  15. Season 89/90 probably my favourite season ever.
  16. I agree that the behaviour of many that turn out at these EDL marches is utterly idiotic, but smashing up shops and attacking people? No. Have you seen how many police turn up every time they have a march or a meet? They might well be very keen to carry out the things you suggest, but it's not something that happens in practice. The likes of Robinson have MI5 all over them as well I suspect. EDL demos have actually massively decreased in recent years, partly due to strong, stringent police work. It wouldn't surprise me if the EDL die out soon enough for one reason or another. But the resentment between white and muslim communities in places like Luton, Bradford, Oldham, Stoke won't be changing any time soon.
  17. You really are an absolute clown.
  18. Fascism can be defined as "(in general use) Extreme right-wing, authoritarian, or intolerant views or practice." - you don't think this applies to Muslim fundamentalists?
  19. Anyone know at what point, if at all, sky will show the fight for free?
  20. I think you need to check the definition of fascism and race.
  21. Do you not feel the views expressed by some of the fundamentalist muslim groups can also be described as fascist?
  22. The big change I think is in Steve Davis and the role he is playing; despite playing in what should be an attacking role he's more focused on closing down the opposition rather than creating for us; how many goals was he involved in on that video? Not enough I'd suggest, yet he has probably helped us become much harder to play against.
  23. Agree with that, particularly the Lambert bit. Also thought how good Lallana looked at times when we were playing well at the start of the season, not sure if its a bit of confidence he's lacking now. Still get a buzz from seeing those two goals go in away at City and our end going completely mental.
