As I said in the HCDAJFU thread, can see the comparison with Suarez in playing style, but still very inexpereinced, with a fair bit to develop I'd expect, so would be a bit of a gamble. Does sound like this one might be happening though.
Take it you'll be getting on the blower to them to sort it out? No way can they justify that as a policy. Did your brother get to speak to the Ticket Office manager?
Might be unlikely, but certainly not impossible. If the deal is as good as done it'll be just a case of turning up for an hour for a few pics to go with the news release.
Edit: It actually makes it more like the player is going to the Confed cup, as why else would he be flying in on a Saturday to sign the contract etc if the deal itself won't be announced til next week.
But that's got nothing to do with them being able to afford such a player. Plus their income has now signigicantly increased.
Exactly that. Can possibly see Villa doing ok (comfortably lower midtable at least) next season.
Just seen on the ESPN twitter, Lambert was 4th in Europe for most chances created in open play, only behind Hamsik, Suarez and David Silva..........but according to this forum he's worse than Carroll and Welbeck.
