Not really, no. In terms of a clubs identity, changing from red and white stripes to a predominately all red kit is a fairly major change.

They probably didn't, I don't know. But change in colour of shorts is relatively minor compared to change in colour of the whole kit. MLG, what would you think if Cortese decided he wanted a blue shirt and white shorts to emulate his favourite Italian teams of the early 80s? Would you be bothered by that?

Maybe MP's idea is that an improved back 4 would need less protection, therefore the need for Cork to sit and protect all the time isn't needed so much and to have two CMs that can also pose a bit of a threat in the oppossition's half.

Which bits of our history are people suggesting we disregard?

We controlled the midfield in plenty of away games last season, that was the least of our problems on most occassions.

It's the only way I can see all three CMs fitting into one team is if Schneiderlin plays further forward, leading the high pressing game right at the top of the pitch. Still can't see all three playing often at the same time though.

No-one would disagree with that logic, but Wanyama appears to me more of the Schneiderlin type of midfielder than doing Cork's role of sweeping up infront of the back 4 and protecting them, so who would be our likely first choice out of those three?

What do you mean by "get away with"? What is there to get away with?

I'm not suggesting it isn't, although I don't know enough about Wanyama to know if he's better than Cork. I'm just arguing against the suggestion that Cork, Wanyama and Schneiderlin would often all play at the same time.

He would add quality, but it could well mean a lot less football for Jack Cork next season.

Davis was played in behind the striker. Who, out of those three, would you play in that position? Schneiderlin?

You go to a big game at Old Trafford or Anfield and the atmosphere is very good, better than a lot of grounds.

The bloke sounds like an utter nightmare and not worth 20m euros, plus he doesn't seem particularly keen to join us.

I say fair play to him for that response. Too many thick people on those review sites that think they can write whatever they want with no comeback. Rockstone is a very good pub, does have slow service at teh bar sometimes and I'm not a fan of a dog running around my feet while I'm trying to eat though.
