If Maidstone isn't like Cologne, what relevance does it have to this thread? -

Just to be clear, are you saying you'll see scenes like are being reported from Cologne, Hamburg etc, in English towns around the country at the weekend? -
I agree with Koeman's point, none of them look good enough to me. Some of our fans need to get their head around how rare it is to produce a good level Premier League player from the academy every single year. However, I disagree with the way Koeman has said this, a bit too blatant and direct in public, even in the harsh world of modern football.

Apart from confirming the fact that the majority of these asylum seekers aren't really asylum seekers, what is the relevance of your post? -
Sadio Mane: "I don't want to stay at Southampton

the best players from teams around us would cost £25m plus and we'd have to offer them big wages, never going to happen. Don't think we bought from too many competitors in the past either. And apart from one or two exceptions I can't think of Spurs or Everton have done that. But otherwise spot on. -

You've got to be kidding me. This forum throws up some weirdos. -

No, its not usually the trigger for media coverage, the events themselves are. -
Hence my first sentence. Also, there is a big difference between being keen on a move to a top 4 club (every single player we have would in theory fall in that bracket) versus players who are fundamentally not trying or committing to do well for us (possibly VW, but pretty hard to assess and manage).

Yeah the mob of hundreds of men roaming the city centres, mugging and sexually assaulting women must have passed everyone else by. As I said, if that was Trafalgar Sq, NYE, I'd expect that to be front page news within 24 hours, no reason why this would be different. -
I hope that is played out in practice. Exactly how it should be.

That's my point. It was ignored at the time. Only when a fuss was kicked up that the media had to run a story several days after the events. Hence the ZDF apology, they clearly weren't taking the issue head on. -

Even a German media outlet apologised for not covering it properly when it happened. As stated, imagine these mobs at Waterloo Station or Manchester Piccadilly Gardens, hundreds strong, it should be front page all over the world. -

Do you really?!? With regards to only attacking "combatants", that was blown out of the water in the most recent Paris attacks, along with the majority of other Islamic terrorism. -

F*****g hell, just watching the footage and interviews on news night from Cologne, horrific. Same in Hamburg and other cities. And to think, so many want to open our doors further to this. A German news outlet has at least apologised for not covering this properly, but sums up a lot of the media's attitude to all this. -
None of those Chelsea players are going to be pushing for their first team any time soon.
-
A lot of those were short sub appearances. Do you have anymore details on this growth spurt thing?
-
Right. Any fine will more than £1m. And considering FFP is relatively in it's infancy, I would be surprised to see it evolve based on changes in circumstances, such as fines being ignored or big increases in tv money. Right, so the post above re Stoke didn't make a huge amount of sense. Plus their owners sink a fair bit into them or have done in the past.
-
What is Stoke's playing staff wage billed compared to ours?
-
So none of the fines are going to happen, QPR etc?
-
Why is it dead as a dodo?
-
Haven't Bournemouth already been caught foul of ffp? Let's see how they get on medium-long term.
-
What was Gardos's injury? ACL?
-
In your opinion. Bottom of Championship, Top of League One, not a huge world of difference in it either way.
-
They've just been recalled as they haven't been playing, which negates the point of them being out on loan. I expect them to go back out on loan this month, most likely to League One sides.
