So the same approach to us playing JWP and Targett then.
-
I assume Chelsea, Newcastle, Swansea, Aston Villa, Man Utd and Sunderland have all been packing their sides with U21s, as that's what happens in football?
-
"If"? You just said it was accurate? How does anyone on here know what are detailed training methods are? And those that do, can they explain how they have changed from our record league finish in the last 30 years of last season?
-
Yet Koeman's team did better than MP's despite no Rodriguez and Forster out for a while.
-
How do you know what Koeman's training methods are compared to MP's?

I don't know about re-read, maybe a problem with basic interpretation and understanding?

St Mary's - The Best venue for away support
Sour Mash replied to Kingsland Red's topic in The Saints
Didn't think Palace made much noise at all considering nice big away end behind a goal, good allocation, winning away with cheap tickets in the fa cup. But I'd say, unfortunately, we give probably one of the best away ends in the Premier League. A big, single tiered end behind one of the goals. How many other places offer that? Not really much the club can do about it, unless we stick another tier on the end. Added to that, its an easy walk from town and all the pubs, plus central station, can see why it'd be a popular away day. -
That's my point.

And how was stuff like this paid for? http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/sport/football/clubs/southampton/article4485045.ece

His set piece crosses are good though, they do offer creativity, more than Reed or Seager.

Ross Wilson appointed as Director of Scouting & Recruitment
Sour Mash replied to Ulrich van Gobbel's topic in The Saints
I'm sure that role comes with plenty of pressure and expectation, but it all depends on what remit he was given. An overall increase in squad depth, what budgets available etc. Can't really judge him on one pre-season. -
But puts in a cracking corner and cross, better than all those that we wasted throughout the first half for example andwe very nearly scored from them. I agree that Reed is good at harassing opponents and closing down, but how would that have be what we needed in the last 20mins of yesterday's game? We needed creativity, JWP was the most creative player we had on the bench.
-
Apart from corners? That we very nearly scored twice from? How are we more than likely to score with Reed on the pitch than JWP?
-
Good. Stop posting never ending s***e then.

You don't buy what? We've done exactly what we said we'd do, a Premier League club run sustainably.
-
How has he not shown ability to motivate? What was last season all about then? We've played different formations and got results many times, Arsenal at home the other week. Clearly he can attract a player of high calibre, we've signed plenty of good players in his time here. Were you campaigning for Koeman to leave at the end of last season?
-
No, the only way to find out isn't necessarily to play them. A team of experienced football professionals can watch and asses them. Otherwise you'd give every single youth player ever on our books a sustained run in the first team.
-
You think the current board are lining their own pockets? Come on, entertain us, what figures are we talking about here? And in what way did ML's vision differ to how we're currently run, as a sustainable Premier League club?
-
Who are the really dim players we've signed?
-
You won't get better than that to be honest. Combination of rail works and not too far off from this fixture now, £50 per peron isn't too bad I guess.
-
Long is a better player than Seager. Romeu and Clasie are better players than Reed. I'm not sure why that is such a difficult concept to understand.
-
I didn't think he was outstanding or anything like that, but he's a decent player, developing slowly, but surely. Will never set the world alight, but I'd still class him as a positive.
-
Which parents are angry and why? That doesn't make sense. You say "anything less than 6 points in the next 2 games sees Ronald stay until the summer". Why would getting 4 points from the next two games really make an impact in Koeman staying/going as far off as the summer? Again, doesn't make sense.

Just a "Yes" or "No" to my question will do.
