  1. Yep, fair play to the club, exactly what the away fund should be used for. Late December/Early January could get ridiculous for away travel/costs.
  2. JWP has shown as much improvement under Koeman as he did under MP. If I understand correctly, you're suggesting that playing for England u21s makes them good enough to star in our first team?
  3. That's probably my biggest gripe; if an away defender makes a bad tackle or the ref makes a bad call, there is no response whatsoever from huge chunks of the ground. I'd never expect non stop singing, but if we're kicking towards the Chapel, needing a goal with 5 mins to go, there's nothing from that end.
  4. Had expected a fair bit more. Barely has a run out in the Premier League, even when Mane hasn't been on the pitch.
  5. No, but you said you can't understand why anyone would even think why they could take one in. I (and others) gave the pretty obvious answer to that.
  6. Because they've always been able to take them in and plenty do on a regular basis. Your usual level of logic there.
  7. Haven't you read all the recent stories about terrorists shooting and blowing people up with their laptops? Not like you're allowed to take them on trains, tubes, planes, pubs, restaurants.
  8. Hardly surprising 20% have sympathy. Just pick out stuff like this at random http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2007/jan/29/thinktanks.religion.
  9. Close to two years out of the game through injury?
  10. Yep, and which of these players Koeman wouldn't "stick with" if he was in-charge whilst they were here.
  11. I can't see Rodriguez ever getting back to his previous levels unfortunately. Got to be gutting for the lad and a blow for the club.
  12. So if Wanyama was out injured/suspended and we wanted a physical presence in midfield. you'd be happy with Reed & Clasie as a partnership? And apart from that, no other suggestions. Fair enough.
  13. Who would you play Reed in place of? Which of our current young players do you think should be getting more first team action?
  14. You haven't answered my question though.
  15. No-one has said he didn't get the best out of them or that he's not a good manager.
  16. I've re-read it, the query still stands.
  17. Which young talent, apart from Chambers, did he spot and blood with us?
  18. The only people suggesting there isn't a significant problem across the world with Islam are on a wind-up looking for something to argue about.
  19. Because you want he option of height from at least one of our central midfielders, it makes sense. The fact that JWP gets plenty of opportunity to develop shows that there is that opportunity for young players still. The club get stick both ways - plenty moan about JWP playing so much, now we should be giving more young players the chance to develop.
  20. I think Reed has been unfortunate, but Romeu v Reed isn't the right comparison. We needed a physical alternative to Wanyama in defensive midfield, none of our other players, including Reed could offer that, so another player needed to be brought in.
  21. The conveyor belt has broken down? Just for the record, how many Premier League standard players are you expecting to come through each year? Which players that you think MP brought on wouldn't get a good chance under Koeman?
  22. So you think the source is irrelevant, fair enough. I guess some of us are more interested in analysis and context than others. But 'each to his own' as they say!
