I find it amusing that some at Pompey think that Birch is a messiah compared to the Pahriah that was AA. While AA was certainly a lap dog to Chanrai at least there was a strong motivation for a Trade Sale as Chanrai had the hope he would get his money back. Birch, we believe, is straight which means he has probably got to shift a £million off the wage bill a month starting NOW and have enough cash for operating costs. Income from matches will not cut it and he dare not jepordise the existing CVA. I give him a month to find a buyer or pull the plug because I cannot see how he make the cutbacks withouit firing the high earners, which we know he cannot.

Why are the Football League not adding further punishment as Pompey have not fielded sufficient players to occupy their bench! The logic is all wrong here. Rather than bleating about not enough players how about the youth team. Why loans that only add expense, if not wages ? I would love to see the FL state that"It is the obligation of every team that has the golden share to ensure that there are adequate players available for selection, that are eligible to play (those who have been paid and are insured) in order to maintain the standards of the competition. Failure to do so will result in the forfeit of any fixture and automatic relegation.£ That should stop the bleating and cheating !!!

It will interesting to see WHO has put Pompey into Admin and indeed whethr they will be able tojustify and explain their funding. The advance of the parachute payments miught keep them going for a month but if they get an "Honest Administrator" then he should immediately offload all the high earners by cancelling their contracts. Ok lets assume that the Parachute payment advance is somewhere between 2.5 to 1.5 million. What difference is that really going to make? Pay HMRC and fend off the WUP.OK But there are still unpaid staff and that CVA looming. What then? Another WUP from Baker Tilley, players leaving because they have not been paid?

Missing some key points here I’m afraid. It seems pretty unlikely administration will be granted and that’s going to have Chainrai in a panic. HMRC will definitely challenge it and more to the point (and something you seem to have missed on here – amazingly given that you’re investigative geniuses) is whether Chainrai’s charge that would allow him to put us into administration is valid. I’ll let you discuss that one amongst yourselves before explaining why. As we’ve debated (at length) before, liquidation is a nightmare for Chainrai. No funds from player sales, no parachute payments, all he’s left with is Fratton Park. Now admittedly he could land bank it and try and wait out PCC’s opposition to building on the site but PCC have already stated that if a phoenix club is formed it should play at Fratton so he runs the risk of PCC buying the site via a CPO valued by independent agents, not one of his lapdogs. (and before anyone, once again rants on about why PCC would do this please take the time to read the PCC document I posted a link to a few pages back which outlines the situation in some detail, along with the possibility of them performing a CPO on Gaydamak’s land – I’m not making things up, it’s all in the document). So, Chainrai really is between a rock and hard place. He’s not going to get £17m for the club, any potential buyers know he’s over a barrel and he has a week to do something about it. Whether a buyer will come in or not I don’t know but it sure is fun seeing the **** squirm after all he’s done to the club. Personally, I think the application to put us into admin will buy us a week or two while the courts consider it before throwing it out and then he needs to sell or roll the dice on keeping Fratton for its land value. Well you could be right but Lampitt could put the club in Admin if he can demonstarte that he has funds to sustain the club, so your assumption that only Chanrai can initiate Admin is incorrect. He is a DIRECTOR. What choice does he have at the moment. ? Liquidation? or he tries to get the parachute payments with the likely consequences of severe points penalties. On the other hand, Chanrai, as you say may not benefit from EITHER liquidation or Admin. He is not benefitting at the moment from CSI's admin is he. We appear to all agree he is not going to finance the next Admin, even if could initiate it. So. What are the options for Chanrai? Of them all Liquidation may be his best bet as there maybe a chance that Fratton Park may change its covenant and be avaialble as commercial land

So it would appear that the only way that Pompey can surive in the short term at least is getting an advamce on the parachute money. It would also appear that there is a war going on behind the scenes between AA and Lampitt. AA wants this cash for Chanrai. Lampitt wants it to clear some debts and get through to April , even if that means Administration to do so as they would have the funds to finance it. Naturally Lampitt would want someone other than AA, if they entered Administration, but the BIG BIG stumbling block is that Chanrai is not going away until he gets some money and can still block any realistic takeover. One party will have to give or the Football League or whoever controls the parachute money says NO. If that is the case WUP becomes WUO next week.

I am not so sure. Who will fund admin? Chanrai? That still assumes someone will buy them and repay his loans. I cannot see him letting the club be sold for half of his loans when funding admin might be over a £1.5 million a month . Not very good business.

Can someone clarify that if they are subject to a winding up order then besides their bank accounts being frozen their Executives are UNABLE to dispose of any assets. In their case their players. Therefore they cannot sell anyone. Am I correct?

Liqidation would be too kind. Another buyer like Cala would be much more fun. However, Pompey ,like Blackadder have had their needles up their nostrils for the last time and there are no more "cunning plans"
