I actually played for the Under 11's under 14; and under 15's. In those days there was little or no connection with the Club other than the English Schools trophy and Hants Cup gamjes being played athe Dell. I do rember long chats with Len Stansbridge who was the groundman at the Dell recalling his playing experiences as a Schoolboy. Like me he was a goalie. Ironically at 16 I went for a trial at the club and I got signed on. No one knew that I had played for Schools team all those years. Would not happen now I would have signed at 7 !!!!

Necrophillia is dead boring

boring game really between two average sides. No midfield and I must admit substitting SRL was a mistake. Should have got all three but settle for one.

Great player and gentleman too.Brings back fond memories of all those wonderful headers and the four he scored against Man u and Aston Villa. By the way Channon made his debur the previous season against Bristol City...and scored. Rember that game as Atyeo the Bristol City Centre Forward was still wearing hard capped boots that required dubbin (pre war vintage)v

Maybe its another questions for the football league Dear Football league You will no doubt by now be aware that Portsmouth Football Club 2010 Ltd (yes those plucky souls in administration for a second time in 2 years) have recently revealed that just as in the first instance of administration, the 2012 FL Chapionship Community club of the Year award winners have collected monies from the public for charities and through 'clerical errors' have had these absorbed in to their large pit of debt, in effect using the charity monies to contribute to paying their players on premiership wages. Now in the grand scheme of things this would not normally be an issue for the FL, however some of Portsmouth's plucky fans, who have throughout this sorry episode remained steadfast in that the club has done nothing wrong, have PUBLICALLY stated that all financial transactions during 2010-2012 were subject to the scrutiny of the FL league, thus implicating the good name of the FL in the cheating of the charities. I am sure the FL will wish to clarify its involvement in the financial oversight of Portsmouth Football Club 2010 Ltd to avoid any confusion in this matter, which is why I am bringing this to your attention now, especially as the FL', former head of compliance was the CEO at the club during which this financial oversight occured. Otherwise from the outside, the perception might exist that the FL are happy with the situation. Indeed, given the current rules governing footballing creditors, the FL may find itself in the slightly embarrassing situation where Portsmouth Football Club 2010 Ltd conveniently deflect the bad Public Relations for non payment of the charities (did I mention for a second time in two years), to the FL, stating that they could not pay the charities monies owed as the FL insist the that players on £25,000 per week who have deferred 25% of their wages, be paid first... afterall they must need it as having to live on £18,000 per week must have been a struggle. Would the FL care to comment? Yours sincerely FC Good letter exept Lampitt was head of Integrity at the FA not Football League

From the News. So how much should from a club that is awash with cash? £30 million ??? Of course if it was a loan!!! Appy pompeii Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 02:56 PM PLEASE ALL READ -----This will work 100% We need to work out how the league table will look if we drop out of it as all results-points will be void for teams we have played thus changing the positions of the league. Once we have worked out the clubs that could do with us staying in existence (like west ham as they would lose 6 points if we go) we then go to them and ask for some cash !
