  1. When I am confronted by any Skate who bleats about beating us 4-1 twice I always agree that it is still true. That always gets them a bit confused and then retort. "You are right we are in the Old division one and you are in the old division four":D
  2. Thought he was Dutch !!!
  3. Interesting that no one on here gives a damn that AL is being photographed with a Pompey player and that all the bile is coming from down the road
  4. If he has a fault he is too unselfish at times but how many times have we played well without him? That is how good he is
  5. Could not agree more. We played well against a side that could easily have been hammered with a bit more luck. reminded me of Reading game a couple of years ago. Dominated but got unstuck by three quick breaks. My only gripe was that their right back was very suspect and we did not exploit his hesitancy until the second half.
  6. rumour has it that SAF will come out of retirement to lead the few> LOL
  7. The takeover saga has become ursurped by all things "Pompey" I feel the time is right that anything genuinely other than their ownership should have column inches to itself. I wonder who the deluded few will now think will take on the mantle of leading the "bestest" up the leagues?
  8. First of all my first visit to the Emirates and what a fabulous stadium. Good views and atmosphere very good. Got some free tickets in Platinum Club and facilities first rate. Thierry Henri was sat above us all the fans around us were taking photos and chanting his name. Great player but still a cheat !! Thought we played OK but clearly Shaw was not fit and all our attacking options came down the right and Clyne really tested their defence but while we have possession we cannot accelearate in the final third. We are certainly no counterattacking team. Ironic that a high press lead to their first goal. Boruc will rightly deserve all the criticism over that cockup. That was pure arrogance. It cost us. We did paly some lovely football and Ward Prowse really will become a great. Hard to believe he is so young. Wanyama immense and while Arsenal fans did not like his physicality players just bounce off him. Despite my fears Jos played alright. Yesterday was where we needed a pacy outlet to run at their defenders and get behind them .Pity Walcott is with them and not us as he is excatly the sort of player we need. Thought Saints fans were quiet but maybe its was just Arsenal fans much louder. No doubt they respected us and saw that we are a top four side.
  9. use the snippit tool in Windows accessories
  10. True surrounded by plastics who support Chelsea !!!. I am from Southampton so I am aware of the bile that eminates from that sh*thole east of Bitterne. However, with all due respect, what you are describing is rivalry at best and pure hatred at worst. That happens between many clubs and we are not unique. However that "rivalry" has been around long before the "Takeover saga" and probably desrves a thread on its own. Most clubs face uncertainties as to their financial future and we all could become victims of Rich playboys who tire of their toys or find that the launderette no longer works. If we continue to play the way we are playing it could be Chelsea that become our rivals . Now there is a thought?
  11. My apologies if anyone was offended by the term "mongs". This thread, in my opinion, is no longer a "takeover" thread but a Pompey bashing and "lets beat them up" gloat monologue. I watched Saints destroy Hull yesterday and was amused with the amusing chants on the theme of England and Brazil. Then there was the Will I be Pompey Will I be Saints chant. As my brother said to me, who gives a dam about that lot. We will never play them again in our lifetimes (unless we meet in the Cups). Whether we like it or not They have been taken over and best of luck to them. Now for those of you who feed on their suffering and have relished over a thousand posts on the subject.. I say move on. As in all things in life they run their course. This thread has run is no longer "pompey Takeover" but "Pompey Move over"
  12. I really think this thread has run its course. When was the last post on any "takeover" Yes there are comments on how it is currently being run by the Pompey Owners but I suspect that this thread is more an exclusive dialogue among a few mongs. Draw a line enjoy their demise and our rise and put this thread to rest.
  13. No. We might lose a few but barring major injuries we should do well and even get better. Still work in progress. We really should be thinking how good this four wheel drive vehicle is rather than concern ourselves with "punctures" or wheel loss
  14. If I recall we have only lost once in our last ten visits to Stoke in all competitions. Good ground for us so away more than likely. has anyone got our exact record at Stoke?
  15. Well we beat Aston Villa 4-1. last year we did outplay Man City , Liverpool and Chelsea. For those sides to even lose to us was probably unthinkable. The reality was we outplayed those sides. This year we outplayed Liverpool and Unired and got results. I believe that as we improve those 1-0 will become 3-0. We hammered Fulham yesterday but the scoreline really flattered them. Perhaps are expectations have been raised and rightly so. So have the players. They now KNOW they can beat anyone. They also know they can continue to improve individually and collectively. That is what is so exciting
  16. Everyone of us is delighted with how we are performing and yesterdays game, in my opinion, is the start of where we want to be, rather than the peak of the "pressing game". I believe we will improve is in faster movement in the final third and conversion of chances. This will come but I suspect we will more likely start dishing out these hammerings to the so called better sides like we did last year. What impresses me about this side is their ability to learn and improve as a team and there will be improvements. That is what is so exciting.
  17. I own a Villa in Cumbre Del Sol not far from Calpe. Had it built off plan 9 years ago.Generates six months of rental income. The web site is http://www.casaxenia.com . First buy rather than build as it is now a lot cheaper. In Spain you have this corrupt system where there is a declared value against actual value. When you sell a property you pay capital gains on the difference betwen the declared value against the actual sale price. The reason for the declared value is tax avoidance. At the moment capital gains is 18%. Look around in the more exclusive areas as in all markets views of the sea still have premiums and will hold their prices. Me too properties will be difficult to shift. Also buy where everything is well established and no liklihood of further development that could lower your value. PM if you want more details. Will be at my Villa next week!!
  18. Must be "Shine on you crazy diamond"
  19. Francis Benali LOL
  20. In the Prem against West Ham in 2003?
  21. Never mind after next season they can walk on water let only hot coals. I thought I was a cynic !!!
  22. no no way
  23. No one has even considered whether these items conform to building regs and fire regs. Unfortunately owners are liable if building specs do not conform to safety regulations. In my opinion meant as a prank but regrettably this cannot be ignored and the builders will be charged for their removal and the offenders fired. As many have said going public demonstrates as much intelligence as a brain fart. Still from the effluent city what can you expect.
  24. Very poor footballer with limited talent but lot of heart.IMO
