  1. an AFC Pompey would not be Portsmouth Football Club, an AFC Pompey would have started to be in existence from 2010 and won nothing. Like an AFC Saints would not be Southampton Football club or FC United of Manchester be Manchester United. Two different entities. Portsmouth Football Club is in serious danger of going bust, bankrupt, cease to exist. Face it.
  2. Precisely, I know I'm getting cynical at my age but it's almost as if Storrie wants them to be liquidated
  3. I wouldn't mind betting all the clubs that have been knocked out by Pompey in this year's cup would look at this. I doubt we'd be the only ones as in theory it's likely that we aren't the only team to be knocked out by an insolvent club
  4. I think by the law of averages Clapham Saint is due to be right pretty soon
  5. so why aren't they appearing in court til march 1st
  6. on another topic when did John W******d's ban from St Mary's expire?
  7. Increasing your wage bill when HMRC and a high court judge have said you're insolvent, does he want Pompey to be liquidated so he can benefit financially?
  8. If Pompey did get liquidated would Storrie benefit financially from it?
  9. Covering her own back I expect, This is a potentially landmark ruling, and I think this is the final ultimatum. The final chance for Pompey to prove they are solvent when the judge and HMRC know they can't (I suspect).
  10. From my uneducated understanding, I thought they had to hand the document in this week (Wednesday??) and a final decision would be made on the 1st of March. Whether anything happening between wednesday and the 1st of march could affect the chances of them being declared insolvent I don't know
  11. Depends what you buy, I work for a company which sells photolab kiosks, we have stopped buying Seagate HDs now because their so unreliable and we have had so many failures. We've gone for Western Digital now who are way better.
  12. but if Pompey are wound up won't it be offically declared until March 1st when the court date is?
  13. sigh heavily and sit in me seat for an hour?? Its happened to me several times over the years, my personal record was in '97 or '98 at Highfield Road when it took 2 hrs 10 mins to set foot outside the stadium after the match
  14. If you were our chairman we'd get through 20 managers a season
  15. I'm no expert but one reason could well be that due to the high pressure of this case (potentially the first ever PL club being wound up) she gave this extension to cover her own back, so it would seem she gave them one final chance to prove they were solvent when she and HMRC knew perfectly well they couldn't. They HAVE to produce this document Wednesday? or whenever it is next week. Even if Pompey do survive, if they are found to have been trading whilst insolvent, (which HMRC and a judge in the High Court agree is the case) that opens a completely new avenue of legal repercussions
  16. I don't think the high court judge would be too sympathetic. . .
  17. It's almost as if Storrie wants them to go bust
  18. I thought I read earlier in the thread that Chainrai was covering the wages??
  19. Thanks Steve, I was hoping someone was gonna do a rundown cos I couldn't be bothered Pulis has apparently gone on record saying Pompey should be brought to account, or words to those degree Besides this is if this rumour is true and that is looking unlikely currently
  20. I think it was a rumour started in the mirror but neither sky or the beeb are bothering to report it yet last i looked. Supports the "story started by Storrie" theory IMO
  21. i am no expert on these matters but let's just say the PL do give Pompey a load of money. Would this be a loan or a donation? Surely yet another loan would give HMRC more ammunition as Pompey's outgoings are vastly above their income? Even if it's a donation to pay for the HMRC tax bill or even a donation of tens of millions to wipe all their debts, how the hell would they still prove that they weren't going to run up large debts straight away with their vast outgoings? Wasn't this last bit one thing they had to prove when they meet the judge again next week?
  22. Has already started, Baxter 7-7 Jenkins Game which both players should have won Lewis vs King should be a cracker
  23. I must of caught it when it was breaking news as the ticker tape wasn't a hyperlink. Looks interesting that, not sure where the 3 new overtaking opportunities comes from though
  24. Apparently the 2010 F1 grand Prix at Silverstone will be run on the new 'arena' layout, says the BBC news ticker. Anyone know what parts of the track will and will not be used?
  25. Where's Clapham Saint when you need him?
