IMO this seems to be the next best thing to being declared bankrupt. To me this seems to be the start of the 'going bust' procedure that will be completed next Friday barring a miracle
-
you should award yourself infraction points for that

Spare a moment's thought for Chester City. According to the beeb their game tonight has been called off because the Chester players refused to get on the team bus as they'd only received 1 week's pay in the last 3 months.

and sold in the St Mary's merchandise shop

I'm no expert, but I thought they'd already done this, and failed, hence this winding up order?

I think next season will be easier if anything as not only do we get to start on 0, but Leeds and one of or both Norwich and Charlton will be in the Championship, they'll be replaced by teams who IMO aren't as good, teams like Peterborough, Plymouth etc. That said next season we HAVE to get out of the blocks fast and achieve what Norwich/Charlton/Leeds are achieving this season. Play off spot is the absolute minimum next season

be melted by then I expect

To get home from work, whichever way I go I have to go up a steep hill, which in snowy weather tends to have big traffic jams headed by wheelspinning cars. This results in a 3 mile walk home (the rest of the way). So I also hope it does not lay

I think it's a few specks today and a lot more Thursday/Friday

. . .which Pompey have recently insisted is the case, (so they don't have to pay the transfer fee)

I would be disgusted if Pardew was shown the door at the end of the season if we finished mid table or above. If that happened it would start to validate SOG's Cortese-Lowe comparisons.

but 6 losses in 28 would LOL At the moment we are a hard side to beat who are drawing too many games we should win. Barring a complete disaster, I sincerely hope AP is still our manager this time next season otherwise the club as a whole would have learnt nothing from the past.
-
You have a point, but the main difference is our performances this season have been good enough to challenge for promotion but we've been drawing too many games we should have won plus we have a competant board to oversee AP's reign, whereas under Burley it was quite clear to the vast majority of fans he had totally lost the plot and was overstating the bare minimum he had to acheive, but we had boards too gutless and disinterested to do anything about it.

Switzerland - good side, believe they are the only team ever to go out the world cup without conceding a single goal, topped their group to qualify for the World Cup. Bulgaria - Mr Berbatov and co., the away game in Sofia will be very tough. Wales - On their day they could trouble us Montenegro - The toughest 'minnow' we could have drawn, they have a few class players like Jovetic and Vucinic Under McClanger we would have struggled to qualify, but I'm quietly confident that capello has the nous to see us through
-
I'm satisfied with this season so far, our main problem has been a classic Southampton FC problem for many years, throwing away a winning position. We've drawn so many games we should have won, if AP can sort this out and strentghen the team in the summer, and we keep hold of Lambert we've got a great chance next season.

The situation at the club has become so farcical now, that any day I'm expecting for Radio Solent to report that PFC have been taken over by the banker of Deal or no Deal.
-
Obviously not. . . .
-
I understand Terry refused to resign his captaincy and if true Capello has taken it off him. Right Decision, hope he gets dropped for a couple of games also

he inspired many of the so-called eccentric goalkeepers like Jose Luis Chilavert, Rogerio Ceni, Julian Speroni is a good example of a Higuita-inspired keeper still playing.

You just can't resist it can you. Lowe is history, sure he did some good things but they were vastly over shadowed by the bad. Lowe may have had and still does have some unfounded and ludicrous accusations/loose class stereotypes thrown at him, but unfortunately Lowe's sheer arrogance, and failure to endear himself to the fans meant that he in part contributed to his own downfall. The double standards that you claim in large don't even exist, one reason why pretty much everyone on here is bashing you is you are trying to compare similar situations that have entirely different circumstances behind them ie our financial and squad situation. In the past your highly flawed attempts at directly comparing Pearson and Burley's managerial reigns with each other are one example of this. Lowe is history, he is gone. We have brand new owners who are now working in a completely different situation to which Lowe did. Please, can the Lowe Luvvies rest in peace.

is there any point to the museum level?

Hull aren't exactly well off at the moment. The board want the wage bill trimmed quite a bit I think
