  1. Pompey's website being disconnected is laughable enough. But surely this will cost the club more money as the site advertising isn't being displayed and the advertisers can pull their funding?
  2. never bought a copy of the echo in my life. I'll boycott it quite easily
  3. especially after their world cup qualifier last year. Egyptian fans threw rocks at the Algerian team bus and injured 3 players
  4. one of my least favourite computer programme I've encountered in the last 10 years
  5. Quick question, it is confirmed that the kick off for the match will be on saturday 13th at 3pm? is there a chance it could be moved to an evening/sunday kick off for TV reasons or is 3pm on the 13th confirmed?
  6. Chris "Unbelievable" Kamara
  7. There are about 4 other threads on this topic
  8. which is what a hell of a lot of recently graduated ex-students are finding out. The vast majority of employers prefer experience to qualifications, especially in these times A friend of mine recently graduated from uni, one of his housemates was doing a 'degree' in golf course design.
  9. This might give the FM team quite a bit of work to do for next year's release In another story, Udinese have reported the skates due to unpaid fees with Sulley Muntari's transfer, Shall we have a sweepstake on which club is gonna report Pompey next? or which of the current playing squad it's gonna involve
  10. hm the advantage of only having the 3 teams in your group. They'll do well to hold both Ivory Coast and Ghana though
  11. It's 5 past 1
  12. Pedro de la Rosa confirmed for Sauber http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8467514.stm
  13. I can't believe how many people there are claiming that if we don't reach the play-offs its a disaster. Survival was always the number one priority and it's only our very impressive and encouraging form from sort of mid October onwards that's got people talking about the play-offs. If we reached the play-offs it would be a massive bonus, an absolutely incredible achievement. I'd be happy with any top half finish this season, so long as next season (assuming we don't go up) we mount a strong and realistic promotion push, based on the form that we have achieved this season.
  14. I thought the original poster was a bit optimistic stating that as a 2010 release Seriously if that isn't ground breaking it's gonna be one of the biggest gaming disappointments ever
  15. found out something interesting the other day according to QI, the dye made for the colouring of smarties is made from crushed insects. hell of a lot of vegetarians that don't know that
  16. amazing, the Mali goal 30 seconds in comes close, but my personal favourite comedic goal in this ACON was Cameroon's first against Zambia yesterday, when the Cameroon player ran to keep the ball in play 30 yards out on the touchline, hoofed it towards the Zambia 18 yard box, and it when all the way into the bottom corner of the net. That had me in hysterics when i saw that this morning. There have been so many hilarious goals this year, even for an ACON. I bet someone is gonna put a compilation of goalkeeping howlers from this tournament together, stick the classic circus music with it and put it on youtube.
  17. like they have since 2007 (barring Adams). The Grand Slam of darts you're referring to is a PDC event which invites BDO player which have either got to the BDO World's semi final and beyond and the winner of the Winmau World Masters. Every BDO player (apart from Martin Adams) has accepted their invite so far. The BDO players to accept their invites has nothing to do with Olly Croft. The event is basically geared as a "come and join the PDC" advertisement aimed at the BDO players. When he got to the final of the 2009 GSOD, Scott Waites earned more in that tournament than in his entire BDO career. Besides the BDO head Olly Croft, has publicly said he's considering a takeover offer from the PDC chairman Barry Hearn. Him and Fitzmaurice predictably dismissed it straightaway until the BDO county leagues rebelled and shouted Croft and the rest of the maroon blazer wearing pensioners that make up the BDO hierachy down. According to recent accounts the PDC made £1 milion in profit, whereas the BDO made just £16,000. Croft claimed this was because "the BDO put all their money straight back into the grass roots of darts". Strange then that 4 BDO county leagues came within days of going bust.
  18. cameroon in trouble. 1-0 down to Zambia and 20 mins away from going out the tournament
  19. They still have it in Finland, Austria, Azerbaijan, Russia and probably many more places in Europe
  20. Apparently the record is Leroy Rosenior? It even made Have I Got News For You from his wikipedia page "Rosenior returned to Torquay United as head coach on 17 May 2007, replacing Keith Curle[6] but was reportedly sacked after 10 minutes, which gave him the record of the shortest managerial reign in the history of English football. This was because at the same time Torquay were bought by a local consortium who installed Colin Lee as Chief Executive, Lee then appointed former Gulls player and Exeter City assistant manager Paul Buckle as manager.[7]"
  21. will be good to see Malawi win this game
  22. Coventry threw that game away. Clive Tyldsley was on form as usual. "Papa Bouba Diop first gained fame when in the 2002 World Cup, he scored the goal that gave Ivory Coast a shock 1-0 win over France
  23. this tournamant has always been worth watching cos of the eccentric goalkeeping alone, but this is amongst the best (or worst whichever way you look at it)
  24. hat the hell did the Moz. keeper do there? A somersault? could have broken his neck
