A man who supports his beloved Skatesmouth FC, who had a trial with Saints in his youth. . . . You should have made an official complaint, you could have got him banned from playing for 2 years.

Andy Jenkins also turned up to the tournament with a black eye which he claimed was a "household accident". Absolutely odious man. I'm so glad Manley beat him in the end, I thought his walk on was hilarious.

:D:D Mardle 0-3 Artut Wish I'd got round to having a flutter now

Up in Scandanavia it's part and parcel of their lives, I know in Finland at least they have snow for 4-5 months of the year. You have to be able to powerslide to pass your driving test, which takes 2 years to pass. I'm just north of Skatesmouth and we had loads here this morning

glad he got a drive

That was absolutely brilliant. My favourite part was Anders Svensson dribbling the ball from the halfway line, the defence backing off and backing off, and anders thinking "ok if you won't tackle me I'll shoot".

Very likely to be true. Tunisia have 3 defenders playing in the Bundesliga, one in the French first division and one for a top club in the Swiss first division. Unless the tunisia team have a defensive injury crisis just before the ANC, Jaidi won't be called up IMO

That's one that immediately sprang to my mind. That goal made a complete mockery of Burley's decision to leave him out the side. Pure class. The one I will always remember is MLT's audacious 45 yard lob against Blackburn in 94' was it? I was at that game with a mate of mine and during the celebrations he threw his arms in the air. Unfortunately in the excitement he forgot which side of him I was standing on and he ended up hugging the attractive wife of this bloke who must have been 6" 8" at least. Fortunately he saw the funny side of it. MLT's shot against Massimo Taibi always makes me laugh to this day also. The Arsenal and saints teams walking out for the FA cup final. Also the day Branfoot left. As for worst I will forever remember that long term feeling of dread when WGS drove out of the training ground in his car for the last time

Quite. White for example originally supported the invasion but when he started to see the shambles unravelling shortly before, during and after the invasion his (and a lot of other peoples') opinions changed very quickly.

I know exactly what you mean. I've always said in a penalty shoot out you need experienced heads, it's just too much pressure on a youngster, I think there's a significant difference and it was the case last night. I was always 100% Thomas was gonna score the deciding penalty. I remember in the playoff shootout against Derby, I know Idiakez taints my theory but I had my head in my hands as soon as Leon Best walked up. . . .

couldn't agree more

While i agree the armed forces aren't themselves responsible for the Iraqi civilian's death, the civil unrest was so predictable before the invasion happened. I recently attended a talk by Canon Andrew White (nicknamed The Vicar of Baghdad). As well as running the only Christian church in Baghdad he also negotiates the release of western hostages and regularly speaks to local Muslim leaders. Just before the coalition forces invaded, he was warning about local ethnic tensions rising between Shia and Sunni Muslims and an ensueing battle for territory based on resources like water and oil. (The Shias and Sunni lived side by side under Saddam). He was categorically told down the phone by a top Home Office official "Religion isn't that important in Iraq". Says it all.

LOL I bet there were plenty of people saying similar compliments about Lowe in '96

This more of a statement than anything else I am behind this campaign because it's Simon Cowell and manufactured bands/artists that accelerated this culture of very average pop stars/girl bands/boy bands/pop pretending to be rap etc dominating the charts, regurgitating the same tracks with different vocals for next year's X Factor winner, pushing all other music away from the mainstream, and gearing the entire "pop music" industry towards teenagers. Cowell has exploited the growth in music downloads for his own ends as he knows full well that the vast majority of music downloaders are aged below 30. That combined with exploiting one hit wonders (mostly) through prime time TV has lined his pockets so much he thinks the winner of his show has a god given right to have the Xmas number one every year. It's all this that killed off TOTP.

In the first half SSN were ranting on how good Jacob Mellis was playing

Plenty of those still around who are "allies in the war on terror" of the UK and US
-
Plenty more mass murderers/human rights abusers running countries who are "valuable allies in the war on terror"

They weren't the ones striking

To the financial prudence of Brown and Darling, it seems like a good investment then

LOL You try telling that to the 200,000+ who were at the Poll Tax riots in '90. That policy alone led to her position becoming untenable. Blair only got re-elected due to the extent of the landslide victory in '97, which happened because of a dubious voting system andthe previous Tory administrations being hated so much.

physical sales of that x factor song will give it a big push unfortunately. I think that facebook group had about 750,000 members last time i looked

I think he wasn't helped by Burley. I could understand his CM role in a kind of "keep it simple, keep possession" role. But RB?? :smt100
