  1. Yeah I've worked out how to do it (I think). The save process in the data editor is so unnecessarily complicated and very misleading but I got there in the end.
  2. Not surprised, The Sun is basically doing their job for them. In terms of political points, there isn't much point in entering into anything where you haven't got anything to gain but have potentially got something to lose.
  3. You'd never be able to tell that The Sun have recently shifted their political stance to the Tories would you? LOL
  4. The problem runs so deep into the game now nothing is going to change until every questionable diving incident is examined and the authorities start handing out suspensions to players who are shown to have dived, regardless of whether it's through a correct refereeing decision or video evidence after the game. I bet there are countless teams in England, in Europe and the world who routinely practise diving in training, day in day out. Things will only start to change until high-profile, regular divers (from the biggest clubs) like Ronaldo, Gerrard and Drogba get suspensions. The problem has to be dealt with from the top and then fed down. Knowing FIFA they'll launch a crackdown and start fining every footballer 2 grand if they're found diving (or the equivallent to fining most of us 10p) and the problem won't get any better. Off the top of my head I've only ever seen one diver condemned by his own manager. That was Bernardo Corradi getting criticised by Stuart Pearce a few years ago.
  5. that's a good point I'm merely attempting to overwrite the original editor file (which I've been able to do on previous FMs) Dunno why i didn't think of it before, I'll see what happens when i save it as a separate file.
  6. Vanden Borre is declared for Belgium
  7. I have exactly the same problem. (surprise surprise) My editor never actually saves the changes i make despite it saying it does. Is there a fix for this?
  8. Ed Byrne in sudden change of career shocker
  9. To me MLT just put his full weight behind the first serious buyer of the club just to try and unite the fans behind one party. We'd gone through years of takeover/investment approaches going tits up. The Paul Allen debacle, SISU, Wilde etc etc. He came out publicly he'd support anyone who was seriously interested. IMO he was let down by Pinnacle as much as everyone else.
  10. The 2000 Telefonica Minardi
  11. For me the jury's still out on Fry. There were definitely a few question marks as to why Pinnacle were given the number 1 spot ahead of Liebherr and co, but what sucked a lot of people in (and probably contributed to Fry's judgement) was MLT publicly endorsing the Pinnacle deal. At that point MLT was saying he would publicly back any serious bidder as the club was days away from being wound up. Now MLT backed the Pinnacle bid to to act as a figurehead and to unite the fans. he backed them with every good intention. As soon as that happened it meant that it had the vast majority of the fanbase behind it as well. At the time it seemed like the best (and to a lot of people) the only option, but why did Pinnacle not come up with the goods? Either Fry was suckered in like the rest of us, took the easy option and didn't scrutinise Pinnacle as thoroughly as he should, or he was lied to and Pinnacle turned out to be a bunch of lightweights, when it came to what they were willing (or able) to put into the club. Now I don't know enough about the financial dealings to make an accurate judgement on this but compared to Liebherr et al., Pinnacle were around for a relatively long time considering they couln't come up with the goods.
  12. It'll go one or two ways, either he'll get his head down wanting to impress, block out the crowd and get into the second round or quarters, or he'll let the crowd get to him, moan constantly and lose to all 3 players. As always it all depends on which Ted Hankey turns up. I agree with you i think Mardle will beat him if Mardle gets his head straight. I think Whitlock will beat him as well, he even gave Taylor a fright last year before Taylor completely overpowered him. Waites is a player who consistently averages in the high 90s but can be a terrible finisher.
  13. five live are covering this game? that should ease the boredom of the A1 tonight
  14. Well I guess there are several reasons why Adams won't compete, a sponsorship deal could be stopping him and also when he stops competing it's likely he'll get a maroon blazer and a top BDO position, maybe even lined up to replace Croft at the helm of the BDO (I wholly dread the prospect but it could happen) Adams was invited for a third time this year but he rejected again and the PDC decided he was ineligible to qualify for future grand slams, even though they banned him from competing in any PDC events anyway in the late 90s. The PDC will make sure Adams and the BDO becomes the laughing stock anyway lol
  15. true, There are even parties more extreme than the BNP. The British People's Party for example
  16. Adams not competing in the grand slam dates back to a dispute in the late 90s when the PDC banned him from playing in any of their competitions. There is an element of PDC propaganda related to the Martin Adams issue but the bloke is so outdated he plays into their hands. The PDC have confirmed Adams will never play in the grand slam.
  17. I assume he gets it automatically cos he's the BDO world champion. Judging by how upset he got when a few people booed him in the silence of the BDO world championships, with the Grand Slam crowd being very noisy he could totally lose it

  20. Redknapp doesn't seem to rate him. Although I hear the general consensus from the spurs fans has been that Assou-Ekotto has been superb for them this season so I think he's keeping Bale out of the team.
  21. I thought Pearson did an incredible job here, keeping us up when key first team players were out on loan and the club being in freefall, was an impressive achievement Replacing Pearson with Poortvliet was a horrendous decision (in hindsight) as Poortvliet was bloody awful, but I'm not at all surprised to see how well Pearson is doing. Out of interest why was he called bootboy? (I've only recently joined the forum)
  22. To be fair he is ONLY averaging 1 red card in every 5 games
  23. One story that made me laugh was the one about Richard Barnbrook, who stood for London Mayor recently. It was reported he had an affair with a Finnish immigrant
  24. He'd be a good appointment for them if true. LOL if true, this is The Sun we're talking about
  25. I may be wrong here, but I believe the government's recent climate change advert stated that only 40% of the CO2 released into the atmosphere was man made. A significant majority of this 40% comes from 4 countries on earth - US, Russia, China and India anyway. It's also a scientific fact that methane is 20 times more harmful than CO2 is, I don't hear a lot of the press talking about that.
