  2. Well there you go, if you ever want to stop Corp Ho posting on here all we have to do is re-post ASIS's selection of classic Corp Ho quotes. Amazing coincidence that once again, he's gone all so quiet when questioned on his previous ramblings
  3. Post 36357 in this link Away you go Corp
  4. I'm sure Javier Saviola/Diego Maradona/Royston Drenthe/Joey Barton/ Benjani/Michael Johnson/Edu/Manuel Fernandes/Gary O'Neil/Edin Dzeko/Mirel Radio/Ronald Zubar/Blaise Matuidi/a £130 million stadium or your prospective buyer that's 10 times richer than Abramovich might have something to say about that You are a long-proven laughing stock on here, and your delusional rants sums up a lot of (not all) Pompey fans up perfectly. You swallowed all the crap about 150,000 capacity megadromes and Diego Maradona whole. And you call us "a pretentious bunch of ****s". That has to be the most ironic comment I've ever seen on here LOL

  6. I'm 25 if this was 1991
  7. What's even more amazing is their currently building the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau bridge that will be even bigger than this. Although it's more a series of tunnels and bridges than an actual bridge but the whole link will be over 31 miles long! Set to be completed in 2015-2016
  8. That reminds me, there's a car boot sale on near where I live on Saturday
  9. Isn't that the satirical magazine Ian Hislop runs?
  10. Technically the prize money is now unfair on the men, as they play more tennis to earn the same as the women. Rather ironic I think. Fair play to Tsonga though what a comeback! Can't see past Nadal winning though
  11. To me it says Chainrai is still running the show and the Russians are puppets on his string
  12. They've signed Norris and Pearce I think? Norris a very good player when on form but starting to get over the hill and being paid absurd wages, then there is Pearce who surprisingly is the sort of player they should be looking for. A young defender with promise, although no doubt on obscene wages as well. We're still waiting on what Nugent is going to do, although I'd have thought all the loans will take place when they play the same sob story to the FL about not having enough players, then they'll go and sign Carlos Tevez et al.
  13. Course they will, The Russians have no doubt got money to launder so of course they'll be putting in outrageous bids and paying PL rejects absurd wages. It's when the laundered money runs out (again) that the fun will pick up again. At the moment Storrie's tax case is going on behind closed doors so the current lull is in the wait for the outcome of that. If he's found guilty Pompey will no doubt get a 50 quid fine that they'll pay 2p in the pound over 5 years. The case is merely a final hurrah for the man who should be given his own plaque outside St Mary's and whose financial lunacy has given us so much fun in this thread. At the moment we're in a period of them giving themselves more rope to hang themselves with. Regardless of what they think, the debts they have racked up and are continuing to rack up won't just disappear. Their current business model is completely unsustainable. Their finances are so shot they are not going to attract any reputable investors in their current situation, all their going to do is go through a conveyor belt of dodgy owners. Portsmouth FC is a money laundering operation that has a football club as a front, that will passed from hand to hand of any international criminal who has a significant wad of money to get rid of quick. The only slight chance they have is if they get promoted again and some billionaire buys them out and pumps hundreds of millions of pounds in, or if they get rid of the PL rejects and play the kids who are on 100 quid a week for a very long time Sadly I think their operation will only come tumbling down when the PL bubble bursts
  14. Funnily enough Uwe Rosler scored how many goals for us? 2? I was excited about him signing initially
  15. If only. . Apparently he applied but lost out to Strachan. He's since converted to Islam and is choosing to spend his life in the Middle East. He's going round coaching all the national/top domestic sides in Qatar/UAE and surrounding area, so the chances of him ever managing here are zero. He took Qatar to the quarter final of this year's Asian Cup and they could easily have beaten the eventual winners Japan in the quarter final.
  16. I really don't get why people (apart from Dalek) think that if Hoddle had been re-appointed we'd have magically kicked off with the form we showed under him previously. Would we have stayed up? I personally don't know but it's far from a guarantee considering the results he achieved with other clubs then and ever since has been pretty poor. Besides it's as arguable if not more that we'd have stayed up if Sturrock had stayed up til the end of the season, as for all his faults his record (if short) with us was W5 D2 L6 - pretty much mid table ie. not bad. The Sturrock appointment was an odd one, and like delldays as mentioned it is very arguable that this is where Lowe lost the plot. It appeared that he appointed him and then took an instant dislike to him. There seemed to be a clash in social class between the two and I remember a story going round at the time when Lowe & Sturrock had to attend some meeting or meet a new player or something, and Lowe turned up in his best suit and Sturrock turned up in an egg-stained t-shirt and muddy tracksuit. Then appointing Wigley was the beginning of the end of our time in the PL and the chaos ensued
  17. I thought on the whole it was quite good, but after watching that thing with Hammond in the Marauder it's quite clear they don't know what to do with him. It's like the top gear producers and Clarkson have written material and just chucked Hammond in the seat instead of Clarkson. If Clarkson had been in the Marauder I'd have found it funny because it was Clarkson being Clarkson. When it's Hammond trying to impersonate Clarkson it's just pathetic. They seem to be still going down the route of Hammond being a Clarkson wannabe, just in a more casual way.
  18. Some people might find it surprising that the people who organised a lot of the early anti-Branfoot protests were SISA. This was when they actually were somebody and had a purpose, not like now where it's merely a name that a few egos live off in the media
  19. George Weah's cousin. . . The Henrik Larsson one was tommac on a wind up. He was some Derby fan on a very prolonged and admittedly clever windup that half the forum got taken in by. I also believe Lowe turned down the opportunity to sign a young Emmanuel Adebayor
  20. Ken Monkou but that was about it
  21. The council where i work are ridiculous. They collect fortnightly on Mondays and never bother to turn up any day of the week whenever there is a bank holiday on the monday. When the snow came down at the beginning of the year they took the **** completely. They didn't empty the bins from Christmas up til the end of February
  22. Personally I can't see anyone who has said that and I can't be bothered to look, however I do agree with you that Burley wasn't as bad as Branfoot but he was no better than Redknapp. Burley did a poor job with one of if not the best squad in the league. We had players like Stern John, saganowski, Rasiak and Skacel which were all out on loan when Pearson was here, which is one reason why your comparisons with Burley/Pearson comparisons are highly flawed. Redknapp just didn't want to be here and couldn't be bothered whilst Branfoot (in a different era) was bloody awful
  23. And you don't think that might have something to do with a load of our best players/high earners being out on loan during Pearson's time here, and we had a significantly poorer squad who after the disastrous Dodd & Gorman regime most of who didn't want to be here?
  24. who is in his very short time here was one of our best defenders of the season
