  1. Praying for a Lovren rather than a Gardos...
  2. Brighton have more money and ambition than us, though.
  3. If you look at his results, surely that's the only explanation for him still being in favour? He's not got much time left to start getting decent results, surely.
  4. The stats aren't promising for Ralph. Its the lack of passion, determination and strength his team has that worries me. I've always felt our teams under him to be weak, both physically and (particularly) mentally. This isn't a quick fix, it takes a culture shift led by a new manager.
  5. We need an upgrade, if at all possible. We need to be buying starters, not "back-ups".
  6. Vestergaard has been hindered by being in a defence low on confidence, unprotected by central midfield and unsure of their playing style. As an individual player he is strong, slow, decent in the air (though surprisingly not as good as he should be for his height). His ball-playing is exceptional. He is strong in the tackle but often has to lunge in to prevent being done for pace, as his positioning isn't as good as you'd like. He also has a cracking shot on him, and is capable of chipping in with a few goals from set plays. You're getting a good defender in Jannik, he'll be missed.
  7. Is anyone going to tell him? I mean, we don't want him to have a heart attack when he sees the trophy cabinet or the general appearance of our fans at the first home game, do we?
  8. Ings was pretty prolific in that he didn't need many chances to hit the back of the net... Armstrong sounds like the opposite of that!!
  9. Brilliant player for us. Shame to see him go. Now it's about replacing quality with quality.
  10. JWP RB and Diallo & Armstrong CM
  11. I think there has been slight improvement from Jan. JWP and Romeu have improved massively in the roles they are now playing. Still, I completely agree that the squad quality has decreased ever since the Koeman years.
  12. I absolutely love this confidence. Love it.
  13. But do Gao and Liebherr care how it works out for Saints once they've cleaned their hands of us?
  14. Brighton a credit to the South Coast, play some really exciting football and they get a well deserved win for their efforts. Look forward towards another away day there next season.
  15. Feeble mentality. Hope the players don't have the same mindset as yourself.
  16. Its exactly this, isn't it. We have the ability to get much more than the bare minimum needed to stay up, even considering how threadbare our squad is after a couple of injuries.
  17. Squad starting to look a bit thicker with players returning. Amazing what a win can do! Still need serious investment if we are to ever get back to challenging for Europa League.
  18. We're quite pessimistic currently, aren't we? Suppose that's fair given 1 point out of the last 21. Sticking with 3-1 Leeds
  19. 3-1 to Leeds I reckon
  20. Of course not. It's the board that should fuck off!
  21. It's like one of those Sunday league games where it all goes a bit tits up after a bender the night before, and you end up losing 13-0 😅 So, Newcastle up next?
  22. F*ck me. Very naive and excited and silly from Wankewitz. Keep the score below 10 and we've done a decent job.
  23. VAR has to go. Very strange that I've seen no supporter groups outwardly agitating for any form of movement, petition or protest. This needs to be arranged and rolled out en masse. ASAP.
  24. Perhaps a bit extreme but certainly the horizon for Saints isn't tinged with positivity.
  25. Football always brings clubs like us back down to earth, doesn't it. Shows football for what it is to footballers, a job. Money and glory above all else - simple! See ya later Danny, didn't really feel like you were here for long, did it?
