Like that. Could switch formation by adding DCC in place of Elyounoussi to make it a 5-2-2-1.
-
Just praying on some luck that sees one or two of our shots deflected massively into the back of the Forest net. We are owed a win by these players. Just imagine getting paid 60k a week to be shite.
-
Unless other teams implode and we actually start winning, yes.

Our spirit and mentality is fragile, and our confidence in our play is too. Having said this, there were some positives to take from the game. I think we were unlucky, and deserved at least a point. We need to build up some confidence, but sadly we are in a position where we simply don't have time and need to be picking up points from games like this. Again, it just underlines the absolute clusterfuck of a board we have overseeing affairs. They profess to be gurus who are reinventing the way to govern football clubs. In reality they are a bunch of posers that have fucked us right over as a club. The holes in the squad are clear to see for us all, and probably for Ralph, but did they fucking invest in those areas with decent players? Nah.
-
Can one individual do that? Isn't it more of a team ethos and spirit sort of thing that is developed throughout the changing room to the training ground? I guess that comes from the types of characters we have across the squad. Certainly not a quick fix or solvable with one new player.
-
Its either invest serious money now to give us a chance, or wait until the summer to rebuild, as no investment will surely mean relegation. If we're clever with contracts offered it could help us come relegation if the gambles don't pay off.
-
Was it a 2-1 loss to Stockport, I seem to remember, on our entry into League One? We certainly were tumbling.
-
A detailed process that led to us getting Maitland-fucking-Niles and Adam Armstrong... 😂

Playing for someone who has managed Porto, Spain and Real Madrid, versus someone who has managed Luton and Stoke... Does this help you understand the difference?

I was a season ticket holder from 2001 - 2014. I remember the Lowe protests, the despair of relegation, the frustration of the play-offs, the elation of avoiding relegation, the club being on the brink of the abyss, the phoenix of a club we turned into under Liebherr and the elation of the JPT and back-to-back promotions. We have seen good times in the PL since being back. The period since Pellegrino has been soul-destroying, peppered with a few positive points here and there. I dread to think what our overall home league performance looks like from Pellegrino to now. It is no wonder the home support is apathetic. Beaten into submission. Couple that with the corporate, social-media driven nonsense migration of fans we see today. Embodied by the prospect of welcoming opposing fans into the home end, persecuting any fans that try to rouse a decent atmosphere, alongside praising the prawn-sandwich, selfie-taking bunches. Pretty despondent about it all, really. The players are a group of duds, bar a few. No grit, resilience, passion, ruthlessness, footballing intellect or vision. Then we have the board. The less said the better, really. They'd see a protest and their minds would interpret it as a celebration of their success.

The absolute brass neck on him. They're living in fucking la-la land, aren't they - either can't see the reality of the situation at the club, don't care, or have their collective heads in the sand. Sleepwalking to relegation.
-
Fuck. You've just laid all of our cards on the table. A collection of fucking duds. How did we get to this point? Dreadful. Someone press the reset button, please.
-
Yeah it just feels like a reset is needed. Too many poor recruitment decisions. No guile or drive.
-
Not much to do up there bar defending the shores from Viking invasions, I guess.
-
I think they are busy being sportswashed.
-
Arriving on Monday 5th I think. Nice place, the Andalucian coast
-
I agree. Relegation would be disastrous for the club. Could easily see us in the Championship or League One for a good half a decade or more if we do bite the dust this time around.
-
He'll need a hell of a lot of divine intervention if he's to keep us up. Good luck, Mr Jones.
-
Shine on you crazy diamond. In the second link.

The board are essentially excusing themselves for the shite they've reigned over (Semmens in particular) with the pessimistic statements they make. They continue to claim that we're a small club, that we're lucky to be in the Premier League, that we will do well not to lose half of our games, that league positions don't matter, that we're a selling club. This not only gives them a get-out-of-jail free card for ineptitude, but also sets a precedent and atmosphere that pervades the entire club. It needs to be sorted out as soon as possible.
-
I know, it is gold dust really for a club of our diminutive size. We've really done exceptionally to pick up so many points at this stage in the season. There's no precedent for it at our club. Truly incredible - what a job Ralph has done. We should all be grateful and thankful.

Saints 1-4 Newcastle - Match Thread
sfc4prem replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
The club is bereft of positivity or belief. The players inspire no confidence in their ability, creativity or determination. Becoming numb to it all, sadly. -
We tend to pick up unexpected results against big clubs, which are then followed by complacent and dire losses to teams in and around us. So frustrating.
-
A striker that can finish more than one every 15 shots... if only. Still, we were dire today. Again, matching the long term trend of our performances. Any positives seem to be an anomaly.
