  1. Take a look at @ArturBoruc's Tweet:
  2. Don't underestimate the draw of the premier league when casting a skeptical glower at any articles linking us to people with the stature of Unai Emery.
  3. Frank de Boer would be a great appointment.
  4. There's too much water under the bridge now. Too many things have been said by our fans already. The bloke's bridges have been burnt by the same people who were most probably chanting his name a month ago.
  5. Neither are a patch on Mane. He's going to be the hardest to replace. Absolute steal he was. On his day he can roast the best of defenders. Good to have a player like that in the side. Townsend and Redmond aren't a patch on the bloke.
  6. You won't have to wait long. We're going to be far too much for a distracted Palace tomorrow. We're in great form, and nothing other than a win will do. I can see us putting a few past them tomorrow. Tough game for West Ham, but I reckon they'll just about edge it.
  7. The one player we can never seem to deal with is Carroll. Should be an interesting game and reckon West Ham will hit us on the break several times. Hopefully Austin's back as has been said. His clinical finishing could prove the difference with Forster between the sticks.
  8. This thread has taught me that a few people take themselves and life in general far too seriously. Lighten up for Christ's sake, you might pop your clogs tomorrow for all you know.
  9. All you really need is an aubergine on a pitch in Bristol on a sunny summer's day. Now that is some top quality cuisine related enjoyment.
  10. As has previously been mentioned, Wanyama is not of top 4 quality and is found wanting far too often in possession. Worth about £15m in the modern game. I wouldn't be that fussed if we had sold him, but to do so given the fuss that he has kicked up would be shattering for our club's image. If he gets his arse in gear and plays as best as he can this season I'll be more than happy to ship him out. I don't blame him for wanting a better payday, I just hoped he would have shown better etiquette in trying to do so.
  11. Awful performance, tactics and pretty much everything. Koeman losing the plot.
  12. How is Van Dijk the answer to all our problems?
  13. Would you leave your job if you were offered more money and more chance of winning accolades or being successful? Of course you would. It is a rarity that people choose less expectations and less money over more pressure but more income. Money makes the world go round.
  14. Great play from Fonte.
  15. Us playing like this isn't down to losing those two necessarily. We're just in a **** vein of form!
  16. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11700/6350295/southampton-approach-hart Agent talk much loke the above. Although I'll pop this in for you - Fonte isn't irreplaceable.
  17. We went from nervy and shaky for the first 60 mins to dominant and relaxed for the last part of the game. Mixed performance. Encouraging signs and now we must surely know we NEED defensive reinforcements. VvD on his way hopefully. Good point on reflection.
  18. Over the top responses saying they never want to see Targett play for us again
  19. Our defence is shaky at best. They look a shell of the outfit they were last season. With only one defensive midfielder it makes a bit of sense but even Fonte has been dodgy. We look outmuscled and vulnerable! Pleased with the score at the moment considering the performance. We need to up our game second half big time
  20. Our defence just don't seem to give a ****! It's like they're already on their holidays.
  21. 4th place. Champions League in Southampton would really cement the image of a club capable to challenge at the top, and could be the base for more success in coming seasons, e.g. an FA Cup win.
  22. Too many have the 8-0 scoreline in their heads and not the shaky start to the game. Sunderland's heads were down almost straight after the second, they let us play our stuff and we were surprisingly clinical. Today won't be so easy. I see us sneaking it still but it'll be a tough game, Stoke can be very potent, in the air especially.
  23. I'm reserving judgement on whether we're "on the verge of something special" until we've played a few more of the big boys in the Premier League. Not saying I'm not chuffed with how we're doing at the minute! It's great to see us looking so determined, focused and confident. Koeman's got the boys playing some great stuff and we look like we're never going to throw in the towel during games. Confidence is high at the minute and I'm loving it. But I'm not going to come out and say we're going to finish in the top six, or that we're on the verge of something special, because we haven't had an even spread of fixtures in terms of difficulty.
  24. As of yet we haven't played anyone that is looking a contender for the top 6, bar a special rejuvenation from Liverpool, and even that 'test' was one we lost.
  25. Underhand, disrespectful, completely pointless and juvenile. Whoever is responsible needs a good slap round the chops and to be put in the stocks outside Fratton Park.
