**** game really. 0-0 would've been fair. Didn't like the way S'land sat deep with a bank of four and five. Protecting that lead which came about so early made for pretty dire viewing, especially with our frustrating lack of ability to play in the final third. Ramirez was exactly what we needed. Good performance in the time he had. Lallana and Rodriguez were particularly ****e. Wanyama, JWP and Fonte the pick of the bunch.

2-1 Sunderland. Two set pieces defended poorly by Saints, Osvaldo with the consolation. Breakdown on here and Alpine, Dalek and Sanchez go ape.

To be fair there are a few festivals on at the moment and its not exactly a big game. We'd never fill a 50k stadium consistently, anyway.

Wow. Hooiveld acquitted himself well at times in my opinion. Yoshida is pretty solid bar a few mistakes, and Fonte reads the game well and puts in some great challenges. Negative ninny.
