  1. The expectation never really went away, it was replaced with an expectation of disappointment!
  2. Telegraph journo is club fed, this story makes us seem a bit more savvy and ambitious aiming for this sort of manager... For us only to be denied despite our "best efforts" leading to Flores... Almost Third Reich levels of propaganda?
  3. Thanks for the update Guan
  4. Let's not forget the in the knows have said it's Flores.
  5. Something is seriously wrong isn't it? We're acting like paupers, but seeing no financial rewards for our "prudency" and austerity - by all accounts we seem to be acting worse off than we have been since returning to the Premier League....
  6. Wings of a sparrow is an absolute Bobby dazzler of a chant.
  7. Default Is it a tactic of ours to sit back and defend extremely deep? We did it under Puel so maybe the limitations of our squad force managers' hands? It is bloody painful to watch us retreat into our own box and invite pressure from and concede space to our opponents. We almost conceded a couple of occasions prior to the penalty, but no tactical change or leadership on the pitch to push out and press eventually cost us! It seems like a conscious tactical decision from MH to sit back and defend deep. Very troubling if so. A draw a fair result tonight I feel. What an awful game of football at times! Laughable, it was like pinball!

  9. Prove me wrong please, Danny.
  10. He'd be a good buy for a club of our size, despite his wages and transfer fee!
  11. Why would he come to us when he has the pick of other teams as a proven PL goalscorer ?
  12. Will he turn out to be another Boufal or have we got ourselves a little gem here? Time will tell! Welcome onboard the bus, Mohamed. Good to see investment in the squad, we definitely need it.
  13. Based on everything that's happened so far this season, I can't see Swansea winning at all, let alone by the margins that some are bandying about. "Nightmare" scenarios of Swansea being 3 up and us being 3 down at half time just won't happen, no bloody chance. Another season in the Prem next year.
  14. Get the ***** out. This squad should never have been down there this season, but even more than that the malaise dripping down from the top of the club has been more than noticeable. Funny how we haven't heard from him in a while, isn't it? Les Reed Out
  15. Can we turn that desire to stay up into another win? I f*cking hope so!!!!!!
  16. We've left everything far too late - changing manager, realising we need to start giving a shot (still question marks hanging over that one as to whether we realise) etc. As previous posters have said we've had one win in 21 games. That doesn't mean we can't get a few wins in the last games, but shows based on our level of play and determination/desire/guts that we have very little chance of changing our fortune. It's just so disappointing because every team below Burnley has been bang average, really. What an awful, awful season it has been. A long road to rebuild ahead of us. It will take a lot of time to get back to the levels we had under Kirman, if we ever do.
  17. A well balanced post.
  18. Do you want to see Portsmouth promoted? Be nice to get a decent atmosphere at a game again.
  19. Win win for Hughes. Keep us up and be regarded as a tiny bit of a hero. Fail to stay relegation, which is currently very likely, he gave it his best shot and our cards were marked anyway. No damage done to his stock.
  20. I thought this was a dream this morning, but having checked I'm pleased to confirm to myself it was indeed reality. Shame it's come so late, we haven't given ourselves much breathing space. Very tough but we can do it.
  21. If you don't laugh, you'd cry. Clean slate next season and try to build up some positivity about the place for our Championship promotion push.
  22. The definition of insanity is repeating exactly the same thing and expecting different results. Rudderless.
  23. Failure to admit that we're on course to smash into an iceberg will be our undoing. We're too proud/scared/arrogant to think we're embroiled in a relegation battle. We're looking to be in a very bad way indeed. I do worry about our chances looking at the fixture list and seeing teams like Brighton and Huddersfield picking up good wins when we can barely scrape a goal from the barrel.
