Steve was one of our best players.

I'd like to say it was a minority, but it wasn't, and hasn't been since it started earlier in the season. He might not be an amazingly consistent player, but he does have clear quality, and is a useful squad player. The booing is beyond me. I just can't comprehend it. You're meant to be supporters of Southampton FC. Not much supporting going on when you abuse one of our own.

Played well today the lad. Constant thorn in their side, an absolute pain in the arse for their defence. Pace and workrate won us possession back several times and he looked dangerous making runs that no-one saw/decided not to pass to him. Will be a top player.

I agree that Norwich will be a really tough test.

We were after him long before our promotion to the Premier League. It's a squad game, he will prove his worth. Apparently we were after another CB in earnest to go with the purchase of Yoshida, so it's not like we were completely prioritising buying a promising young lad over defensive stability. Our pursuit of a LB was also widely reported.

Jay was onside. Can I just say that I don't think £7m for him was at all excessive in the current climate. Will be a top player I reckon.

Performing so, so well. He needs to keep it up because he's one of the main reasons we're sooooo good going forward.
