Well it was disappointing that the attendance this year was so low. I cant see it being any different and I dont think its a snub to Markus, people just dont do pre-season games in large numbers. The flag was partly a symbol of how high the fans hold Markus and the club wont display the thing.

It wont be packed to the rafters. It will be 10,000 tops. I was thinking where it is so early compared to the season start that it might act as a warm up for some visiting Olympic teams rather than club sides.

I thought De Ridder played really well, was surprised and disappointed that NA took him off to be honest. Unlike the others that play right midfield he does actually get to the byeline too which is always a bonus. Would stick with him too, certainly at home.

A sniff of success ? They are on sale to season ticket holders first. Most of the current season ticket holders were season ticket holders back in the dark days from 2005 though to summer 2009. I dont think you can classify any season ticket holder of this club as glory hunters. I take your point about being made available to regular away travellers first but with an allocation of nearly 6000 expected this is hardly the ballot for Bournemouth from last season.....and am I not correct in thinking the tickets for Fratton Park didnt exaclty fly out of the ticket office ? Anyone who wants to go to Palace should be able to go....even of they aren't in the Saints end.

What did you allow for Saturday when we were losing when he was taken off but won the game without him ? Don't get me wrong, he's a very good player who i rate very highly but he hasn't been up to the form he was showing before his injury just yet.

They tend to, when possible, keep ex players away from their "favoured" clubs. Thommo never does Liverpool in the same way Matt never does us....the only time I can remember is that last day win or bust v. Sheff Utd a few years ago, but I'm sure that was only for the cruelty factor.

With benefit of replays he should be able to tell who is who, the og was pretty easy to spot if only cos Fonte has 1 number on his back while Jos has 2 !!

Nobody in my 35 year of watching them. The great Phil Boyer scored three in one season back in 1979 but they were all at home.
