  1. Very true......and it sounds like he is yet to get an invite to one of NC's dinners with the supporters who in a relaxed and smaller environment manage to ask questions that in a big open Forum they wouldnt get chance to because people like him, Illingsworth and McMillan taking over ! What a plank.
  2. Top bloke Wee Gordon and a great manager for us. Yet another in a long long line of former players and managers who stay on and live locally.
  3. Dont really see why you have singled this out as Saints tbh, this could have gone in General Sport as a debate about 75% of Prem and Championship clubs doing this until around the Quarter Finals. Everyone who travelled knew as they did when they went to Swindon, as I did when I went to the Torquay and Preston games.
  4. Having seen him play every time he has turned out at St Marys with the exception of the 2 goal heroics against MK Dons last season he hasnt exactly set the world alight, Played as a striker he looks pretty poor, played as a winger he looks average. Would probably have been ok had we stayed in Div. 1 but just not up to The Championship IMHO. Could be a good one to loan out for a month or two to someone like Bournemouth and see how he gets on with a run of games under his belt.
  5. Well yeah, with 3 injured and one rested I guess it does....altho Cork has played CB before I believe, but not for us.
  6. Lets hope so cos he was pretty dire in the middle against Preston in the last round.
  7. If Holmes is still injured then that is probably the place for Dickson.
  8. What are you talking about ? he played 45 minutes, the whole second half.......mind you if your marking of half the team is SH*T I suppose he's got off quite lightly.
  9. Well according to NA he will start against Palace. Be interesting to see if its up front or out wide.
  10. Well read the West Ham program then and look at the match report for the U21s v Exeter. There is your evidence for one part of your response. And Sky frequently use players who are out of their teams injured or suspended. Steve Gerrard to name but one. Come on Clarky keep up ffs :-)
  11. you can sigh all you like you sarcastic sod but we were second best and didnt deserve any more than a point.
  12. Yes it was but how does that make either my question or make my second comment wrong ?
  13. To be fair according to the stats they had 10 shots on target to our 5 so I'm not sure thats accurate.
  14. Martin and Chaplow forced decent saves out of their keeper, but in general I agree with you.
  15. Was it Guly's **** poor pass that led to Hammond getting sent off ? I believe it was. I get the impression that Guly is a bit of a home player to be honest.
  16. It wasnt exactly embarrassing was it ? Dont over react so much ffs. I would take a point at this moment in time to be honest.
  17. We would have if the keeper hadnt served his suspension in the bloody Carling Cup !
  18. They should be beating Doncaster at home though to be honest.
  19. Hope thats not just kidology on his part.
  20. I'm with Daren, I really didnt believe, or dare think about it until last night. But to beat them with Cork on the bench and Lallana not even fit to play I really think, with some additions in January, that we could do this.
  21. absolutely immense last night. My MOM by a country mile.
  22. Interesting that so many pickers of the team are keeping Fox at left back despite Harding being fit again. If West Ham attack down the flanks go with Harding and push Fox to left side of midfield in Lallana's probable absence.
  23. If Richardson is out after his knock at Derby I hope Butterfield is at right back, dont want Cork wasted and exposed there thanks very much. I would also move Fox to left midfield and put Harding at left back if Lallana is out.
  24. He's not the only one to be gutted he's missing out ! Thankfully its not an ankle problem then.
  25. Does he ? Against Preston in the Carling Cup he was absolutely bloody dreadful.
