  1. If we do sign a quality midfield player he would be well down the pecking order as cover. Assuming a new boy would be paired with Morgan both Chaplow and Hammond would be ahead of him for selection.
  2. Perhaps it reminded him of training then bearing in mind a most esteemed manager down the coast thinks we play like them
  3. Everton and Bolton tracking him.... Seriously ?
  4. Can we expect to see a DVD of this season as it was such a success ? Big missed opportunity if not.
  5. Dont dispute any of what you have said but it is my opinion that Alex will be a better player than Theo.
  6. Its the Channel Islands game between the two main islands I think.
  7. Very emotional for you. I wish you and your family all the very best in the coming few days/weeks at a difficult time.
  8. Alex Chamberlain will be a better player than Theo Walcott. I have absolutely no doubt about that. Alex uses his brain and can cross a ball. Theo uses his pace and cannot cross a ball. Thats simplifying things but its two reasons why I will stick by my statement. I would love to see a stat of how many games Theo has started for Arsenal and still been on the pitch after 90 minutes by the way.
  9. Was in two minds about going to the All Saints Day, so I decided to donate what would have been petrol and parking money instead. Fantastic effort so far, really looking forward to seeing "our flag" in August :-)
  10. If last season is anything to go buy they wont be on sale until early July, maybe end of June at best.
  11. as per a Solent twitter Dace Merrington managing All Stars today in the absence of Gordon Strachan. No reason given.
  12. Thats the full back Ron Davies not the big centre forward Ron Davies.
  13. No it wasn't, it was a spur of the moment thing based on the announcement over the tannoy. Everybody was in a good mood and it was, to me, almost like saying hey, we have been there, we know how relieved you feel so have a great day and enjoy our party.
  14. And with the quality of teams in the Championship he will get more opportunities to do so next season too.
  15. Ok, just for you we won it...the "it" being promotion.....for Markus. Better ?
  16. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/se/southampton_forecast_weather.html Never go by the BBC, they always use this one from the Met Office but usually take a couple of hours to update ! In answer to the OP I assume they would have to play it as practically near to the scheduled game as possible, so I would imagine Tuesday night unless they were allowed to use next Saturday. Dont think it will be an issue anyway.
  17. Being in a league for a couple of years where we have one a hell of a lot of games. Pardew was right when he said a second season in this division wouldnt be a bad thing to install a winning habit and mentality in the players. Between him and Nigel Adkins they have certainly done that. It will make the players stronger for next season, as was shown against MK Dons they now dont know when they are beaten.
  18. I just booked 2 ok online for collection at the Ticket Office. I suppose it will be easier picking them up Saturday than Sunday, it could be chaos round there Sunday afternoon !
  19. With his best bud Eddie Howe as his curent boss ? No chance unfortunately.
  20. They will ask the fans to stay off the pitch so the players can do a lap of honour on Saturday and I guess the wall of stewards will be around the touchline. I hope people allow the lap of honour to take place, invade the pitch when the players have finished if thats what they want to do :-)
  21. Good job he wasn't over here a few years back when quite often teams would play postponed or re-arranged games AFTER the last "official" Saturday of the season. Always used to be 2 or 3 games during the week after most temas had played their last game.
  22. Well for one NC wasn't here then and secondly it wasn't free. Having said that the line about "tickets flying off the shelves" is a tad optimistic I think.
  23. I thought he was alright, then people on here started pointing out his faults, and ever since then i have seen them for myself. Sometimes he looks ok, other times he looks poor, especially defending. I prefer Butterfield but i wouldnt be at all surprised if a new right back doesn't arrive in the summer.
  24. Totally torn on this one. Huddersfield deserve it, no question. But Bournemouth.....easy 6 points and another South Coast club would be great.
  25. I'm sure he will. He said in his interview after the brighton game that he wanted to stay and I'm sure Adkins recent high praise for him hasn't been for effect. Seems too that he has been fit for a fair while but was simply overlooked because Guly then Barnard were doing so well up front. But DC is different class and will be a great help to us in the Championship, even if its only coming off the bench mostly.
