From what I've seen on YouTube (yes, I know) he seems to make intelligent runs which could bring out the best in Ramirez.

Amen!

Where are you heading to? I migrated to Adelaide 8 years ago and won't be going back any time soon (well I say that, I am heading back in a couple of weeks for a holiday and to catch a game). Live just 45 - 60 mins from the city centre in one of the top wine regions, Love it! There's a small group of Saints fans in Adelaide, most of them I've met through SAS meet up for games but there's a couple I met through other forums and work.

Search for Southampton Australian Supporters on FB and send a message to introduce yourself. One of the guys runnign it should get back to you and there'll be posts on the page about get-togethers and drinks. Too easy. As for the merchandise, I just go through the club store as there's no other merchandise sellers here that I've found. Ebay could be an option.

Pitch inspection at 2.45. Unless there's breaks in the cloud cover I'd imagine the best scenario for the Aussies is 2 hours of play, (given tea will be taken and then I'd imagine bad light will play a part). And that's not taking into account further rain. Looking less likely for Australia

Excellent, thanks Minty. I'll try it out - "We'll walk League 2" works perfectly!

Love the picture of Iain McInnes, we should replace with that picture!

Looks like a draw it will be. I'll take that

I see what you did there, very good.

Did anything actually happen at the ground? Were the tours cancelled and did the shop close and if so does anyone know why? -
But Brian Johnson is English

Out of all those versions of the Hitler video, that is without a doubt the best.

If he joins Fulham it'll be about money and nothing to do with London. It's quite conceivable that he could live in or near London and still be a player for us. Mark Hughes used to live in the area I grew up in (south bucks) whilst he was playing for Chelsea and I'm pretty sure he was there when he played for us. I'd feel pretty confident if it comes down to Fulham or us.

Australian idiots ( Originally from Pompey ? )

Ha ha that's standard practice driving here in Adelaide..........well they certainly drive like they're using vice grips! -
Live in Oz currently but I'm originally from South Bucks (grew up in GX then moved to High Wycombe area). Folks are from the south coast (P********h area) but some of my old dear's family are Southampton. Her aunt used to live in Shirley and her Uncle a mad Saints fan. When we used to head down to visit her aunt (when I was a nipper) I always used to persuade the old dear to go past the Dell.

Can't see it happening before the next test. He's just started a 4 day game in South Africa from which I imagine he'd not be in England until at least Sunday or Monday and the test starts on the Thursday. Wouldn't be the best preparation (would have thought that if he was in contention to play at OT then he'd be playing in the warm up at Hove) but then I didn't expect Agar.

This ^ I've always thought Lyon was a very handy spinner, nothing amazingly special but handy nonetheless. For a spinner who averages 33 (pretty much the same as Panesar) with the ball to be dropped for a 19 year old with no test experience and only 12 first class games is a disgrace. Lyon will never be a match winner but will always tend to chip in with wickets. The whole selection process for the Aussies leaves a lot to be desired. The latest I've heard is that Matthew Wade may be called up as a specialist batsman (Haddin to keep the wicket keeper duties). He averages 34 with the bat (same as Haddin). There really is an issue of batsmen for Australia. Only Clarke has a test average of over 40 in the Australian team and adding Matthew Wade to the list isn't going to help them.

Pattinson is a super bowler if he gets in his stride, much better than Siddle. Fortunately he's not adapted to the conditions. The one thing Siddle does possess that none of their other pace bowlers really have is the ability to do long long stints with the ball. He will keep on running in. The others are a little fragile. Harris would be an immense loss to them. He is their consistant go to man (like Glenn McGrath & Stuart Clarke) who will alway put the ball in the right places. Harris though is the most fragile of the bowlers and would have had a lot more tests for Australia had it not been for constant injuries.

I think you're right, he does miss Eisel. I'm not convinced yet that Kittel is better. Cav had to come from a whole bike length behind him and Greipel in the final sprint and only finished 1/2 a wheel behind. What Kittel does possess is a much better lead out. I think that OPQ just don't have the pace in the final 1km to put Cav in a winning position on enough occasions. It's pretty exciting for Cav to be teaming up with Renshaw and Petacchi and as you say if somehow they are able get Eisel that would indeed be scary train (especially when you consider the other team members such as Tony Martin).

If you don't care, why post? If you don't care why moan by saying "Just another spoilt, pampered b*****d to feed off our taxes !"?

I still think he's got some good tours ahead of him. His lead out train let him down again and had to tack onto the wheel of one of the Germans (can't remember if it was Kittel or Griepel). OPQ alway seem to go too early and burn themselves out leaving Cav to freelance for the last 500m. He's only been beaten once this year when he's had a great lead out (when Kittel took him). There are now rumours are that Renshaw will be joining Cav at OPQ I think they will be much more of a threat (the two Aussies in Goss & Renshaw were so crucial to Cav's success at HTC). Renshaw was always his final lead-out so I'm hoping it will give him some extra pace in the final 500m.
