  1. Long played well at Watford but his good moments came when he was out wide. I wouldn't be against him becoming our automatic right winger and Gabbiadini/Austin/new striker playing centrally.
  2. He was very good in the first half, he seemed to be quite tired in the second half, which I think is why he dropped off. Probably should've been subbed slightly earlier
  3. It'll be interesting to see what team Watford put out. New manager in charge, so will he pick a strong team or will the owners say forget about the cup, focus on staying up? Hope we name a strong team.
  4. Someone who knows Spanish football says he’s much more respected than Pellegrino is in Spain
  5. I’d like to see Obafemi start the cup game. Hopefully he’ll get more chances this season
  6. Good point, good performance. Players looked knackered at the end, another ten minutes and Spurs probably would’ve won it. Nobody can fault the players’ commitment. Brighton game is absolutely massive. They’ll come here for a 0-0 draw, it’s the only way Brighton know how to play.
  7. Very good point. We MUST beat Brighton
  8. Jesus how did that not go in
  9. Brilliant, great to see him giving Obafemi a chance.
  10. Positive attacking change coming up!!!! Now THAT is a surprise
  11. Won’t happen unless we lose: These things when planned never work. Has to be a spontaneous thing, after a big defeat
  12. We’ve looked good today, just like in the first half at Watford. Tottenham have been quite poor really. The question is what will Pochettino do to change it, and how will Pellegrino react?
  13. Defensively we look shocking today.
  14. I was thinking of that post when he sent it in!
  15. I think he’d be better as a DM tbh
  16. Attack is our best form of defence
  17. I wonder if Cedric will manage a successful cross today. Him getting an assist might be asking too much of him.
  18. I agree, but a weak bench. Also shows how much the players have let themselves down this season.
  19. No Eriksen is massive. He is the one who really makes them tick.
  20. That’s the team I would’ve gone along with, although probably Long playing as he had a good game last weekend. Obviously if he’s ill then Gabbiadini is the obvious replacement. No Sims on the bench.
  21. Interesting. I wonder if that’s a message from MP to the board - get a bloody striker in
  22. IF he and Les Reed can put aside their differences and work together, then he’d be by number one choice. I think though his bridges may have been burnt.
  23. AND a cup final... Anyhow, Puel has managed to prove that I was right all along. If others believe that I keep going on about him then fine, I promise that from this point onwards, I won’t mention his name again. Likewise others should as well. On reflection, I’m struggling to think of a better person to take over than Marco Silva, so get him in, but we should all be very concerned about what happens when things start going wrong.
  24. I definitely agree with this.
  25. I don’t believe I’ve ever said that.
