I've found that American 'soccer' fans are generally much more knowledgable and intelligent than the average British fan. You demonstrate that point rather well... I was just about to post something like this. Why are people so desperate to play down us reaching the final? Why are people unable to recognise that it is a brilliant achievement? I don't get it. I do agree to a certain extent, although the club have said that they always take their time over making signings, and deals take a while to sort out - negotiate with the club, with the agent, etc. Nevertheless, they knew Fonte was leaving, so they should've had an idea of some replacements.
