  1. Imagine what can be done with an entire TWO WEEKS for the next match It would be typical Southampton to lose at Sunderland but then go on to win at Wembley.
  2. Wishing us to lose. You are not a true Saints fan.
  3. I have to be right eventually, so I'll go for 5-0 to Saints. Easy peasy
  4. Premier League HTH
  5. I've found that American 'soccer' fans are generally much more knowledgable and intelligent than the average British fan. You demonstrate that point rather well... Also, as a 'tourist' who went to an MLS game, I was welcomed with open arms. As I would, and most Saints fans would do, to any tourists who want to come to SMS.

I was just about to post something like this. Why are people so desperate to play down us reaching the final? Why are people unable to recognise that it is a brilliant achievement? I don't get it. As for other managers, Koeman was interested in the cups - we got to the quarter finals of the League Cup twice and the team bottled it on both occasions. In the earlier rounds, you could arguably say we named stronger teams than Puel did. For the big occasion (two of them), Puel got the team to perform. That's a fact.

Good, we don't need fans like you.
  8. To be honest, this has been my inkling for a while. I don't see anything to suggest he will leave this summer. Hopefully we'll get another year and he'll improve so much that Barcelona/Real Madrid can blow any PL Club out of the water for him.
  9. Difficult one. VVD definitely. Romeu is a good shout. JWP as well (he gets a lot of stick on the forum for his on the field performances) but off the field he seems level-headed and a good chap. Mouez Hassen and Jérémy Pied have both liked my tweets so I'll say them as well.
  10. As is well documented, the bestest clubs go for quality over quantity
  11. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38885629 A return to his spiritual home?
  12. I do agree to a certain extent, although the club have said that they always take their time over making signings, and deals take a while to sort out - negotiate with the club, with the agent, etc. Nevertheless, they knew Fonte was leaving, so they should've had an idea of some replacements.
  13. Nah doesn't cut it for me. No mention of how he hates Pompey.
  14. Good riddance to hypochondriac. Hopefully he learns how to be civil in his time away from the forum.

  16. They'll also want to play well. A bad performance = being dropped. There will be 2 weeks, so plenty of recovery time if anyone picks up a little knock.
  17. This forum IS primarily for people to take shots at each other. Go and discuss football somewhere else.
  18. One of the better refs in the league.
  19. Your point doesn't make any sense. It we don't win it, then that means we either draw or lose. That's the 'X' that happens.
  20. Playing devil's advocate here, and I agree with certain sentiments that Forster could do better, but only three goalkeepers have more clean sheets than him this season
  21. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/pompey/now-pompey-s-finest-ever-team-is-reunited-1-7806431 #bestest They've been abusing their own players since the 1940s. Although, I am surprised Neil Allen was allowed to write such a libellous comment, it's nothing more than fake news.
  22. http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/football/transfer-news/yakubu-set-coventry-city-fitness-12559071 Surprised he's not going back to his 'spiritual home' - surely they'd break the bank to get him back there? Or sell more 'shares' to raise the necessary cash?

This is what the majority think but they're being drowned out by the whines of a rather loud and persistent minority. alpine and Batman do not speak for most Saints fans.
  24. We need a fast start like we did on Saturday and get an early goal. The next step is to defend better, keep them out, and hopefully score a few more. I wonder if Sunderland winning will play into our hands. They might attack a bit more then they would have done, and it'll be bit more open.
  25. It'd be good to go into the cup final with some momentum, so on that basis it is a must win.
