Man Utd want to sell Luke Shaw in the summer. Unfortunately, the likely destinations are Chelsea or Spurs.
-
Seems like someone we will move for in the summer.
-
Portsmouth are the biggest club on the south coast

Pascal Plancque, although we don't really hear from him (perhaps he doesn't speak English) Judging by his biography on the Saints website, he has worked mainly as a youth coach, so perhaps his ability at coaching youngsters is why he was brought in. I think Aleks Gross does a lot of work, he seems to have taken up the role Jan Kluitenberg had.

I agree with the idea of a salary cap in principle, but for it to work, at the very least it would have to be applied across all of the UEFA nations. Otherwise, everyone would just buggger off to Spain, France, Germany and Italy.

I miss those days. I spent the hours in between lectures at university browsing this thread. The numerous court proceedings, along with the Pompey News webchats, were superb fun. I kind of want them to get a couple of promotions and then for it to go wrong again. The only thing missing is a victory against them. 12 years and counting, that's half my lifetime!

It's criminal that we haven't signed anyone yet. Puel must be as frustrated as we are.

The tablecloth returns for a Pompey Trust event

Leicester are not playing a game in midweek. Therefore, they will be fitter, and will have an advantage. Not to mention the risk of players getting injuries. Rotate, rotate, rotate.
-
Martin Atkinson is the referee for this one. Let's hope he does a better job than Neil Swarbrick, or if he will try to ensure that there is the money-making final that the FA/EFL/Sky so desperately want.
-
Claude Puel. He's the only one I want.
-
Obviously there is a difference between the Championship and Premier League but I reckon if Gallagher was playing now, he'd give us the focal point up front that we are obviously lacking. Creating chances isn't the issue, it's taking them that is.
-
You get a kick out of rubbing people up the wrong way. Hence why you were nowhere to be seen after we beat Liverpool.
-
If people really wanted to find out my real identity, I'm sure they probably could. I use my real name on twitter and post more or less the same stuff as I do here. Although I regularly have 'discussions' with people, I've never abused someone, and I think the language used by some goes over the top. At the end of the day, we all want what is best for Saints, and we should bear that in mind.

It does have Premiership on it
-
I'll dismiss anyone who openly admits that they will 'give up' on the team. I have a bumper sticker which was given me in 2005. It reads: "A Saints fan is for life, not just the Premier League" If you are a real fan, you will support the team, through the good times, and through the bad times. And having been through the bad times, we are currently in the good times. Our league form is a bit of mess, but, you know what, there is no other team in England I would rather support. One of the big boys would be boring to support, let's be honest. I love this club, NO MATTER WHAT, and we have to get behind them, not just 'give up'. For instance, alpine, who is quite pessimistic, and I disagree with him on a number of issues, but there is one thing about him, and that is he would NEVER 'give up'. He would always support the team, no matter what, just like the overwhelming majority of us. That post was pathetic, and it deserved widespread condemnation.
-
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I (more or less) agree. The only thing I disagree with is the description of it being a mess. I think things will come together in the next few games.
-
Our league position is false. We will easily finish in the top half, and we're on the verge of a Wembley final.
-
If you look at the Burnley fans and what they are saying, they say we are one of the best teams to visit them and they are very pleased they managed to get the win.
-
Weakened team, then for Leicester, play the same team as we did against Liverpool Norwich will probably rotate too.
-
Meanwhile, Leicester are currently losing 3-0 at home They are rubbish and we will beat them easily, just like we did to Liverpool. So calm down everyone.
-
This is one of those threads that will get bumped at the end of the season and we'll all laugh at the idiotic pessimism displayed by so many
-
What is this nonsense about us not trying to win the game? The stats obviously show otherwise. Complete domination, on another day we would have won 3-0. Just a lack of cutting edge up front. Burnley set up how we set up against Liverpool. And we got in behind them far more than Liverpool did against us.
-
We're not going to be in a relegation battle.
-
I'm seeing a few faces who didn't show up after we beat Liverpool... I wonder why
