  1. Arsenal equalise! Lol
  2. I agree with that. The West Brom really was a poor one. I can understand losing to Spurs and Everton. If we lose in the same manner to some of our next opponents then I will be concerned for sure.
  3. The referee for this one is Chris Kavanagh Mainly a Football League ref but was in charge when we beat Sunderland in the EFL Cup He'll probably be promoted to the Select Group next season
  4. Jenkinson, Gabriel, Gibbs, Coquelin, Xhaka, Elneny, Chamberlain, Ramsey, Iwobi and Pérez all played in that game. Granted, Ozil Sanchez and Giroud didn't play but that team we beat was not a poor side at all.
  5. And then beat them a few weeks later
  6. Meanwhile, Bournemouth currently beating Arsenal 2-0... Just shows what a great result we got down there and the job Puel did who tactically outsmarted them.
  7. That's like saying we should go for Brendan Rodgers because he's going to win title after title, cup after cup in Scotland.
  8. De Boer failed miserably at Inter Milan, he's not good enough. With some of the names being bandied about, I really worry that our fans lack ambition.
  9. No, but Eddie Howe wouldn't be an upgrade on what we currently have.
  10. Yeh last season, not last month.
  11. On the Norwich forum, they expect to put out a weakened team
  12. Why would we want Eddie Howe when he just lost 3-1 to our current manager?
  13. A better right back than Martina, that's for sure.
  14. IF for whatever reason we decide to get rid of Puel, and we need a bit of time to get the right appointment, then Nigel Adkins as caretaker manager until the end of the season would be good. It would lift the fans, undoubtedly. HOWEVER I do not believe that a) we will sack Puel and b) we will need to. I think it will come good, we just need patience and the club to back him in the transfer window.
  15. Not being a bedwetter = happy clapper I'm not a happy clapper, I'm not happy with the board for failed transfer activity. I am not blaming the manager for something that wasn't his fault.
  16. Here's the article where that comes from. I posted a translation in the other thread but I'll post it here too. http://www.leparisien.fr/sports/sa-nouvelle-vie-a-southampton-02-01-2017-6514626.php
  17. Everton had an extra day's rest than us. No surprise that they scored all their goals in the last few minutes.

    Puel

http://www.leparisien.fr/sports/sa-nouvelle-vie-a-southampton-02-01-2017-6514626.php I've translated it. It's a bit rushed but you get the gist of it.
  19. That's not what he said at all. He said that it was a challenge for his wife because she doesn't have a social life and they don't know anyone here, even though she is learning English.
  20. Selling him would be disastrous. There is money available - nobody needs to be sold at all in January.
  21. One year ago today...
  22. How can he have kept playing his sons if one of them was at a different club?
  23. We need a positive reaction. In the cup games this season, we've generally played well, so hopefully that will continue. Puel needs to name a strongish team but with the Liverpool EFL Cup game in midweek, there will be rotation.
  24. The last part is true. I think Puel has done well so far but the board need to back him in the transfer window.
  25. He'd be stupid to come out and say we need new signings. The players are obviously lacking in confidence anyway - it was a sensible decision and good management to come out publicly and back his players. Unfortunately, they have let him down and hopefully behind the scenes they are working on bringing a couple in.
